I'm looking for staking in to two events in the upcoming GUKPT at Luton.

Comp 1:         £550 2 day, 10k chips 40 min clock

Comp 2:        £1070 Main Event, 15k chips, 1hr clock.

I am looking for 100% staking for 70% equity after stakeback.

As this is being sold at a premium, in order to try and balance it out a bit, I will be buying myself into the £150 & £200 side events. I will be giving the stakers 50% of any winnings in these comps for free. So any decent result in the first two comps could mean stakers are freerolling or at least getting the shares at a discounted rate.

Will sell in 5% (£81) or 10%(£162) chunks.

Any tournies won obviously carry a seat into the CoC tourney, the % will rollover to that too.

Thank you. I think i know what you mean but to clarify. It's 50% of any profits from the £150 and the £200 side events.They will be treated as seperate tournies. So if i cash for say £1k in the £150+ £15 comp. Then the £835 will be be split 50-50 between me and the backers. I won't be deducting £220 for the next comp. Was that what you meant? And the same principle for the £220 comp, i wont be deducting the £165 if i dont cash in it but cash in the £220.

ha, unlucky tonight sunny. Getting bingo billed in the first hand you sit down is never ideal.

I go back tomorrow with 15 bigs and 21 remaining from 120ish i think. 13 upwards get paid.

Grinded all night apart from the last 20 mins or so where i peaked at 40k but got a bit too active maybe. Still in with a chance though.

Sigh, busted two tournies in one day. WP me.

Firstly the £200, 21 returned, got down to 12 and was in the BB with 25k at 1200/2400. Limp utg from tight/weak player and a raise to 7k from the cut off i shoved with AQhh. utg folded and the other guy called with A 10. GG me. £410 for 12th.

Then the £500, strange table, I'm not really one for publically slagging off other players etc but this was one of the worst tables i have ever sat at. Seat 1 & 2 were shocking. 3 was a luton reg that coulda knocked me out in the first level, 4&5 looked like they had never played poker before, 6 was me :-) 7 was a strange guy who commentated on every hand. 8 & 9 seemed quite decent and 10 was blessed, but good.

First hand of note, luton reg limps in MP for 50, i raise to 175 only he calls. i have A9cc. Flop is 9 4 3 two clubs. He checks i bet 300 he raises to 700, i call. Turn 9d, he check calls my 750 bet. River 8. He check calls my 1250 ( i think) bet. I proudly table my hand. He had 44. Sigh.
Next hand of note i have AJ dd otb and call a raise (250) at 50-100. Flop is 776 2 diamonds. Seat 2 checks i bet 425, he calls. Turn 2d. He checks i bet 875. He calls. River 3h He leads for 1700. I decide to flat, which turned out ok as he had 33!! fml.

I did win the odd pot but only small ones. My next accident came in a limped pot at 75-150. In the BB with j9hh i check. flop is all low with two hearts so i bet 375. button calls and the sb folds. Turn was a brick so i bet 600. Again the button calls. River heart!. I bet 1125. After a bit of deliberation she called. I turned over my flush, and after about 10 seconds of looking at her cards and then the board she turned over  Q10hh. Sigh.

All this meant that at 200-400-50 i had about 9 bigs. I decided the squeeze the two limpers to my right as they had been limping with their marginals and raising with premiums. Folded back to the Q 10hh woman and she called with 33 and held. Sorry folks. Saving it for the main hopefully...

Oh and just to clarify Seat 1 that was mentioned wasn't Karl Mahrenholz. He later replaced the original seat 1 when he got knocked out with this cracker..

50-100, folds to the button who makes it 250. Seat 1 / sb makes it 600 and seat 2 / bb shoves for 11k. Button folds what turns out to be Queens, sb calls with kings, bb has A2. Flop 2 4 2. Wp.

Oh and one final hand.

Seat 7 who commentated on every hand giving analysis etc decides to limp for 150. Karl makes it 425 from the sb, and seat 7 immeadiately 3bets to 1425. Karl has a bit of a dwell and calls.

The flop comes 733. Karl check calls 1500 on the flop. They both check the 2 on the turn and Karl checks the A on the river. Seat 7 fires out 2500. Karl thinks for about 10 secs and makes it 5425 i think. Seats 7 folds showing 89. Karl shows and says something like, just to show i wasn't bluffing you... 10 4 off.

The guy in seat 7 then spent most of the next 2 hours analysing the hand. We all sure enjoyed that.

Agree very-if any fe here, you are basically value shipping yr hand and thus saying 57 is ahead of their range.

Yeah absolutely, like Drain says we have no fold equity. A8, QT might not be raising hands to these guys but good chance the player last to act if it folds round snaps you off with these if they have any clue what they are doing, or if they don't, for different reasons. Stuff like 78s could easily call too.

Totally understand James, and don't disagree normally, this was a totally unique situation where they spent 5 hours limping into pots and folding as soon as someone put a raise in. i.e limp on the button for 200 fold when bb makes it 600. limp for 50 fold when raised to 175 etc etc. Just so happened she limped with a monster this time :-)

I can't contact all the stakers so i think the safest thing to do is wait until everyone has had a chance to let me know. I know it's not a lot of money individually but from a point of principal i would like everyone to have the chance to say what they would like me to do. Plenty of comps coming up etc or i could play 2 x £100 comps at luton over 2 weeks.

Just gone.200/400/50 I raise to 1175. Two callers including the small blind. Flop comes 10 9 8. SB leads for 2150. I shove for 7250. Other guy folds SB calls with 98 and holds. Sigh.
