Post by: NoflopsHomer on August 01, 2010, 04:45:06 PM I think this is a fold tbh. Even if you win you don't guarantee getting 1st.
Longy, do some calculations. Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: mondatoo on August 01, 2010, 04:49:05 PM I think this is a fold tbh. Even if you win you don't guarantee getting 1st. Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: doubleup on August 01, 2010, 05:13:13 PM payouts are a bit flatter than in a stt so prob v close Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: Longy on August 01, 2010, 05:20:11 PM I am passing. Range for calling something like jj+ at a guess.
Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: DMorgan on August 01, 2010, 06:55:07 PM Just ran it through SNGEGT and its a fold, calling with JJ+ assuming that the reg is shoving any 2 as he should be
Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: doubleup on August 01, 2010, 07:14:21 PM just noticed that the short stack is in our sb, so it will be hard for the big stack to keep him alive - if the big stack was in this position and say had already given the short stack a walk, would it make any difference to anyone? Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: EvilPie on August 01, 2010, 08:42:07 PM F**k folding!!
Call and TID. I can understand that the math says fold but I don't play enough sngs to give a shit about locking up the extra $33 Would be different if it was an mtt and there was more than 3bi involved. Billy big stack could exploit the hell out of me then but here I just call. For the sng grinders I can see why a fold would be the preferred choice. Out of interest if you drop big stack by 2k and stick it on shorty's stack is this still a fold? Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: Sack it off on August 01, 2010, 09:00:34 PM Yeah I'm folding, and I don't really follow ICM but this is clear cut fold
Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: Ironside on August 01, 2010, 09:01:07 PM insta snap

Out of interest if you drop big stack by 2k and stick it on shorty's stack is this still a fold? The shorty has to have 10k to make AKs a call. We can call with TT if you stick the extra 2k on. Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: mondatoo on August 01, 2010, 11:07:07 PM Different responses to what I expected wpwp. It's a fold ICM wise if he's shoving 100% of his range your calling range is QQ+.I called he had J10 results don't matter but James insta thought it was a call but after a while thought maybe it's a fold I dwelled called but thought ICM this is maybe a fold.
I disagree with the shorty needing to have 10k for this to be a right call I'd be suprised if your correct here ? Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: DMorgan on August 02, 2010, 12:20:17 AM I'm just quoting the numbers from SNGEGT (free ICM calc)
I was pretty suprised at that myself. I'd double check it but stars comes up with an annoying message to close the program 'cos its prohibited software Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: pleno1 on August 02, 2010, 12:22:57 AM if guy has 9k im neverrrrrrrrr folding, im like fml fold as it is.
Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: buzzharvey22 on August 02, 2010, 05:25:25 AM does anything change if this guy is not a reg?
IE could we tighten up his shovin range from not quite any 2 any more? would this mean we are dominating more of his his range? would this make it any more likely to be a call? Im not saying it would be, just genuinly interested in this. The answer could be a simple "no" or "no fatty" who knows. Title: Re: Anyone folding here.... Post by: TheRaise on August 02, 2010, 01:27:01 PM I pass. Not happy at having to call off my whole stack here when the short stack is going to bust in the next few hands.
