Title: Sunday Million Hand Post by: Eso Kral on August 01, 2010, 11:07:41 PM Just wanted some advice/thoughts as to if i played this hand ok or if anyone would do anything different
Sunday Million I have doubled through in the first 2levels when and have shown down strong hands but have a fairly weak table with easy blinds but an active button on my BB and obv cut off on my SB Blinds 100/200 I have 20130 at start of hand and villain has 17975, i am the big blind and it folds around to the villain on the button who has raised most buttons and cut offs were about even in the pots won with me playing back some and folding. Villain raises to 600 SB folds and i have Ad Qs and re-raise to 1550 (is this ok?) Villain flats and we see a flop of 2s Qh Tc I lead for 2200 thoughts on bet size or play? Villain re pops to 5400 leaving 10425 behind and the pot now stands at 10800 How should we play from here? I will post what happened after a few responses Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: mondatoo on August 01, 2010, 11:10:42 PM Flat pre please

Thanks for input so far Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: pleno1 on August 02, 2010, 12:08:15 AM 3b pre is fine, but prefer a flat. as played just sigh eyeball i guess. .
Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: EvilPie on August 02, 2010, 12:12:22 AM As long as you're not thinking of folding you really go wrong from here.
Given what you've said about oppo this looks like a ship to me. He probs thinks you're just playing back with a marginal. Also don't mind the 3 bet pre against this oppo. With a bit of luck he's got something decent to call with. If you're beat it's just cold. Calling now looks stronger than shoving. Perhaps on a different board you could flat and let him hang himself on the turn but on this board just ship. Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: DMorgan on August 02, 2010, 12:15:23 AM I have 20130 at start of hand and villain has 17975, i am the big blind and it folds around to the villain on the button who has raised most buttons and cut offs were about even in the pots won with me playing back some and folding. Happy to stack off here. I expect him to be flatting your smallish 3bet pretty wide in position 90BBs deep. He takes this line with so many hands that you are beating/crushing. He doesn't 4bet pre so AA/KK are less likely but obv still possible. Its pretty much a cooler here if BTN is a good reg and you're beat here imo. Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: MC on August 02, 2010, 01:47:36 AM Flat pre probably best, but if you're going to 3bet, make it like 2200 or something.
Lead looks fine, now we jam... Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: Royal Flush on August 02, 2010, 02:38:46 AM but if you're going to 3bet, make it like 2200 or something. orly? Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: redarmi on August 02, 2010, 03:33:32 AM Would think he has a fairly wide range here to peel. I think I probably ship and if he has QQ, QT or TT then so be it. I would 3bet a bit more but doubt it makes much difference.
Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: MC on August 02, 2010, 04:00:03 AM but if you're going to 3bet, make it like 2200 or something. orly? Is my thinking flawed on this?... Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: AlexMartin on August 02, 2010, 05:53:31 AM if u 3b pre then jamming this flop after being raised by a random player is a really bad idea.
Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: George2Loose on August 02, 2010, 09:40:23 AM if u 3b pre then jamming this flop after being raised by a random player is a really bad idea. This. I'm pretty sure he's not re raising you light here in a 3 bet pot Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: NigDawG on August 02, 2010, 10:19:11 AM would peel preflop pre antes but make it 1800 if i did 3bet
villain seems really strong to me on the flop. his stack size is quite good for flatting flop and jamming over a turn bet with a hand like KJ/J9 (or gain his free card by being in position) and stacks also look good for you to 3b all in on the flop so doubt he will be raising flop without a hand he wants to get it all in with (ie value...yes sometimes you'll get italians playing KJo this way and snapping your jam but villain actually sounds competent in your op) you mention there is some dynamic going on but not nearly enough for him to be value raising AQ> on this board imo.... and since nearly all villains will be smooth calling their Qx/Tx hands, 3b shoving flop here is only getting called by AQ+ imo Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: Eso Kral on August 02, 2010, 12:42:13 PM Thanks again for the input guys
I didnt really know how to play the re-raise on the flop and was going to ship and then decided to flat the R/R and bet 6750 (2/3 villains stack) on any non K or 10 turn (thoughts?) obv after taking this line i am never folding but wondered if anyone ever takes this line or if its jus the same as shipping on the flop so might as well commit there if were going to? Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: MC on August 02, 2010, 02:30:27 PM Disagree that villain's range is strong after we donk bet.
KQ/AJ/AK certainly possible/likely imo... Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: George2Loose on August 02, 2010, 02:33:37 PM Disagree that villain's range is strong after we donk bet. KQ/AJ/AK certainly possible/likely imo... Really? U think he peels with AK? Or raises with KQ or AJ on flop if he's competent? Absolutely hilarious. I mean "GAGGLE" is the collective noun for GEESE. For apes you can use TROOP, FAMILY, POD or my own personal favourite "SHREWDNESS". But never gaggle lol. It didn't look like he was trying to be a joker to me, but merely stating that your posts on PHA don't contain any insight/useful information. I could be wrong though Title: Re: Sunday Million Hand Post by: George2Loose on August 02, 2010, 05:43:49 PM If villain has AK here i will let a gaggle of silverback apes rape me lol Yeah, agreed. How much do you think it would take to get stars to say oppo had AK in the hand?
