Title: Forwarding Mobile Calls to Landline
Post by: DaveShoelace on August 03, 2010, 09:03:51 AM
Where I live the mobile phone signal is awful, it seems regardless of the network (I have 02, missus has vodaphone, both pants signals) and I keep getting cut off from important calls.

So I want to forward my mobile calls to the landline when I am at home, if I do that, does the signal channel through the landline so I don't have this connection issue?

Also, how the hell do you do it? Like on 24.

Check the costs on call forwarding. Some networks are cheaper than others.

Part of the GSM standard includes the ability to forward calls. Most handsets have the facility built-in to their menu structures (look for something like Menu > Settings > Calls > Call Forwarding) but if not there are standard GSM codes that can be used. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_forwarding has the details.

The forwarding is done from your networks central network and is unaffected by the local signal conditions of your handset.

Be aware that the cost of the diverted leg of each phone call is charged to your mobile phone bill.
