Title: EMOP
Post by: valuehunter on August 06, 2010, 06:17:13 PM
Can anyone tell me about the European Masters of Poker - I'd never heard of it until recently but it seems to be a big event with big prize-pools. Are they good value and/or well run?

There are ones coming up to Barcelona and Malta, which both sound appealing.  ;technolog;

1k euro events which are filled by sattys on the entraction network

i've only played once but would say the standard was a mixture between lolbad italians and aggro scandi's (i think several entraction skins are scandi specialist sites) which made it fun to play.

basically quite loose/spewy play as opposed to weak tight.

structure is very good for the buy in too...20k stacks/1hr levels/all the levels

If you'd like to play EMOP Malta, see details of a value freeroll on page 33 of WPT Poker magazine's Sept issue (with Sammy Farha on the cover). Takes place this Monday night, password required and less than 30 runners so far.

With less than 6 hours to go this has still only got 66 runners, compared to many magazine freeroll's which get between 750-1500 runners for this sort of prize.
