Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: EvilPie on August 11, 2010, 08:19:35 PM Sorry I can't offer anything helpful because I really have no idea what to do against this oppo.
I probably just check now and if he does one of his jam moves just sigh fold and kick the dog a bit. Will be interesting to see how people deal with this spot. Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: celtic on August 11, 2010, 08:22:42 PM I think bet folding is better than check folding if that helps? Horrible spot tho.

I'd check fold to a jam but not if he bets something normal like 800. Betting against this oppo seems like it's likely to be exploited unless we bet with a committment to snap if he shoves. Agree it's an awful hate life spot. Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: outragous76 on August 11, 2010, 08:33:10 PM I cant name a hand you beat - maybe JJ

Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: EvilPie on August 11, 2010, 11:01:55 PM Fold now. I hope you called though cus I really want to know what he had.
If I'm forced to guess I'd say a weak ace involving a couple of clubs or A8 / A9. I think A10, K10 jam the flop. JJ+ probs 3 bet pre. If he's bluffing an airball surely he just jams@ Seems to like the all in button. The spot gets tougher. Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: DMorgan on August 13, 2010, 06:44:21 AM Yeah you definitely need a straight to continue imo.....
Anyway, I think you've gotta bet a lot bigger on the flop, about 550-600. We're getting more value from Tx, Jx, an absolute ton of hands that we're crushing. As played I check/fold turn. Ace is a really bad card and I don't think he's firing Tx or draws on this turn. Your flop betsize probably has him clinging on with A9, A7, maybe A8 with backdoor clubs aswell to see this turn. River is a fold aswell imo. He's now gotta be 2 barrel bluffing and how often do you see that live from randoms? Ok so he's spewy but he just doubled up with his KJ so he's probably forgotten all about the 88 hand which he puts down as a sick beat. Title: Re: $109 f/o hand Post by: action man on August 15, 2010, 01:53:00 PM i hate bet/fold turn vs this kind of oppo, against a thinking player i think b/f turn is the line against someone who thinks there playing blackjack i prefer c/c
