Title: Steve Coppell resigns from Bristol City.
Post by: Sheriff Fatman on August 12, 2010, 12:21:34 PM
Very bizarre.  He's also announced his retirement from football management.

Wasn't his City departure due to stress or something?  Wonder if this is a re-occurance.

Keith Millen appointed on a 3 year deal as replacement, so guess it's been discussed behind the scenes prior to today.

Wow, a lot of Norwich fans (included myself) wanted him as manager last season. Looks like we dodged a bullet there, good manager seems to get stressed very easily.

Not a bad gig getting paid to be a football manager from May to August.

I wonder if I could get a job as a department store Father Christmas from February to November.

Never looked interested really and signed some right garbage too. Apart from James which he didn't really want.

Nicky Hunt and Stewart from Qpr must be the slowest pro footballers I have ever seen.

Did you go on Saturday Herbie?  Sounded like a cracking game on the commentary.
