ive bean reading blond 4about 3 years but never posted, but after 14 white russiuns i feal impealed to.what is a poker player,to me a poker player is some one that disregards the normal ethics of socity.ie the importance of montry value for one.we sit around a table with only our own intrest at heart i find this extremly honest and refreshing.there is no bullshit at the poker table,exept that we conintwally try to bullshit each other.there has bean alot of threads latly about grimming etc,all i can say about this is the gimmed are as complisit as the grimmers.this is the game  where  playing,if you ever borrow money and expext to get it back your insane.its really a kind of test of some ones so called caracter,you know your gonna  get fucked, you just wont to prove it, a bit like calling a bet  on the river just to know your right. any why i digres a poker player is someone that loves to play the game its the callenge to out whit out play out think the other person,but its more than that,its a kind of sickness i have it i see it others,its an escape from the bullshit world where NORMAL people reside in,ive lived in that world theres no honesty, in poker its pefetly clear its every one for them selves,which in turn creats a kind of camaradry and respect there is no pretencce at the poker table where all there to fuck each other.tearms given to poker players such as degenerates its an abslote  acraret dissiription if you dont fit this disscription you are not a poker player,i dont make alot of m,oney from poker bearly minimum wage but i get by but i love it, like a crack addict loves his crack,i dont wont to win so i can buy some bullshit lifestye i wonnt to win so i can carry on playing  now thats fucked up and i love it.

What happens at the table, the lies, the bluffs, the merciless way you try to win all of your opponents' chips, etc. is fine at the table.  That's what poker is about.

Away from the table though, you don't treat people like that.  There is a distinction.   Think the White Russians might have confused you a bit...

The guy openly admits in his post that he has already consumed a fair amount of alcohol when he was writing it,now as a long time lurker on this forum I can't help but find it amusing that so many of you regulars feel justified in patronising him by picking mistakes in his spelling or his lack of paragraphs,and are lightening quick to put this newbie in his place,honestly,given the events that have recently happened on this forum do you really think this endears you to the wider viewing audience? Do you even care? My advice (not that I expect anyone to follow it,I haven't been a member for any great length of time or got a significant no of posts to my name) is please don't treat everyone outside your little bubble as morons,not all of us are you know,sometimes people just write stuff when they are drunk.

Maybe not, but that's rather beside the point. I have to agree with Ironside's post on here, and also neeko's similar one on the other thread he started. Also some of Crippin's points elsewhere - though he might have worded them rather antagonistically, I think he's right in what he says about how some of the behaviour of regulars on here looks from the outside.

I gotta to say I think it's a bit pathetic moaning about use of paragraphs,puctuation etc etc.The words are writing in English so you can read them (unless it's me then fair enough) and if it bothers you that much just don't read it,some people just aren't very good at writing and some just don't care but to patronise them and put them down for it is pretty ridic.

I think it's pathetic to moan about the moaning. Every Friday night you go to a club with your mates and you lurk around the edge of dancefloor watching the ppl dance but not dancing yourself. And you've done that every Friday for 3 years. Then one night after necking 14 white Russians your confidence is so high you decide to make your dancefloor debut. Ta-dah. But unfortunately your drunken dancing is tez and weird. Arms flapping, too many spins, bumping into ppl. Well guess what? Them ppl are gonna think you're a terrible dancer and will edge away. However, if you make your dancefloor debut completely sober with some slicky rehearsed moves you might be in line for a bit of bum-rubbing from the other dancers.

Or....you would probably never frequent the club again,I mean you are low on confidence in the first place,it's taken 3 years and some Dutch courage to finally get up on the dancefloor and as soon as you do,the moment you take the plunge,you are surrounded by a group of regular club goers (all brilliant dancers,naturally) laughing at you,telling you how bad a dancer you are,laughing out loud at you and encouraging all their friends to laugh at you too. Yeah,if I was that guy I'd probably give the club a miss,and think twice about ever attempting dancing in public again.

The nightclub isn't social services. It's just people having fun. So I don't think the other dancers are gonna miss some drunk stumbling onto the dancefloor with piss on his trousers. I am indeed a brilliant dancer myself and usually find a circle of hot girls will develop around me clapping and screaming as I point to the sky and gyrate my hips. But that's because I haven't been sick down my shirt.

ahh, he may not be a good dancer now, but in the future, who knows? the others in the nightclub will never know.

Can you see the difference between telling somebody they're a shit dancer and telling somebody they're a shit dancer when they're drunk? If I was the drunken dancer I'd appreciate someone telling me I don't dance so good when I'm in that state rather than allowing me to continue spinning around in blissful ignorance. Why is not saying something doing me a favour? Then next time I went to the club I could make sure I wasn't drunk, and my dancing would be better and more socially inviting. Nah, the real twat is the bouncer who comes over and tells all the people having a good time they can't say anything to the drunk dancer and they must boogie woogie with him for the rest of the night. That doesn't actually happen in the real world. In the real world the drunk gets slung out of the club and he goes for a kebab.
