blonde poker forum

as most of you know rookie was banned a while ago for obscene posts on his account. at the time he argued that he didnt make the posts and that it was someone else who made the posts on his account.
the moderating team decided otherwise and he was given an indefinate ban, fair enough.

on friday whilst playing the gukpt rooks was involved in a hand where he lost 10k chips, adrian who was updating was asked to find out the details if he could of what happened. he asked ben but as ben was involved in another hand and was at the table said he would post it. adrian said " that's great thanks"

ben then to help out the updates and the updaters logged on to his partner ismene's account on his iphone and quickly posted the hand where he lost some chips, he didnt try to disguise it was him and thought it would be ok as he was given the ok by the updaters (tighty was present on friday).

today Ismene trys to log onto her blonde account only to find shes now recieved an "indefinate ban" for letting others use her account.

looks like rooks and ling have been set up to me by snidey people with the backbone of a jellyfish who will leave it to people like yourself to put themselves in the firing line and bare the brunt.

ling is a long established member of this forum who doesnt deserve this shit.

This single post wasn't the reason for the ban. 

A ban we (the moderators as a collective) didn't want to issue.  There had been warnings on a number of occasions before this, and Ling could have prevented Ben from using her account.

doesnt look like it to me kin, looking back on the most recent posts by ismene all i can see is that post on friday  and posts made by ling herself. other than that we are back into the blatch thread where we both know rooks was given permission to post, so ur statement doesnt add up im afraid.

Well, it did to the mod who have gone through ALL the evidence.  Are you also saying Ling wasn't warned about letting Ben use her account? 

If you was a mod your views would be noted turny and guy but your complaint has been noted and filed tyvm for your concern in modding matters

I know on the updating thread last week Adrian said he find out the information requested from Ben. I know that Ben then posted on Ling's account, and was thanked by Adrian on the thread. None of that involved me, and Adrian can confirm that. I didn't get involved, was too busy updating to start modding on the spot.

As Kinboshi is saying, the mods have had a long standing concern about the use of Ling's account by a banned member, and Ling was spoken to several times asking her to prevent this. Its simply done, change a password. Problem over.

We had the same problem with Charmaine Garnham, who we didn't want to ban, but who couldn't or wouldn't prevent Paul/M3Boy from posting on her account. The same applies here

If we don't act here, then what's the point of banning anyone?

He's banned though, same as M3Boy is and that's where the problem with their partner's accounts has lain, in the way those accounts were used .

Also, if you wanted to ban Ling for this earlier, then you should have done so. Rooks posted one hand to help an updater in an update (and one which was contributed to by his father).

If you were looking for an excuse to ban Ismene, fine. This was not the right way or time to do it imo. What a fking joke.

Pretty quick to make decisions about things like this, yet the '48 hours' we're still waiting on Tikay to make a decision on Ginger on seems to have been brushed under the carpet.

I thought Rookie was allowed back after helping with Blatch? Accepted that he did wrong, served some time, helping out with Blatch surely gets him out early on good behaviour.

He was posting on Lings account, which as we've said isn't allowed.  So we temporarily reactivated his account as he wanted to help.  Which he did, and it was appreciated.  This was a temporary thing, and before the ban could be reinstated he actually made some posts that would have probably been banning offences in their own right.  Sigh.


Ling is banned because despite of multiple warnings, she allowed a banned member to access her account.  She was aware this was against the forum rules, and was told that she'd be banned if she continued to allow it to happen.

Is that too difficult to understand?

ben was rebanned immediatly he was of no more use on the blatch saga by you so how he would have or could have posted some posts that were banning offences i dont know, but obviously if you put that it must be true aye.

tighty actually told ben himself that he was hoping ben could remain on the forum under the radar as a thank you for helping sort the blatch mess but his account was rebanned by kinboshi at the first oppurtunity.

Boshi did not act alone in re-instating the ban but the majority of the mods made the decision as is the case with any long term ban

I must admit when Rookie helped out in the Blatch thing I assumed his blonde ban would be lifted.

You really shouldn't have let him help untangle the mess if you weren't going to let him post again imo.

I did try to explain this earlier.

He was posting on Ling's account, and helping out.  So instead of this, we temporarily lifted the ban so he could help (if he wanted to).  He did help, and I for one was grateful, but the ban was reinstated after, as was always the intention.   |Maybe it was the wrong decision to temporarily reinstate the account?  I know it wasn't a unanimous decision amongst the mods, and some were very much opposed to it. I guess if we didn't make any decisions then we wouldn't get any decisions wrong.

Also, we have banned people 'permanently' in the past and then after a period of time allowed them to come back on.  In fact, turny can attest to that. 

I honestly don't know why people get upset over being banned from a poker forum FFS, its not like its real life. It would probably do me a favour if I ever got banned, I could go and do more productive things rather than talking shyte on here...........

I've stayed out of all the banning/Kev/drama/blondener threads as much as possible and will continue to because all I want from a poker forum is a giggle and to talk about poker (I waded in on the grimming threads but they are actually poker related).

Just wondering, could we have a separate board for these particular threads? Maybe a 'Discussions about Blonde' board or something? These threads are starting to take over the forum a bit and also, they surely would be offputting for potential new members who come on and see lots of personal debates being aired in public. No matter what peoples issues are with some blonde/mod decisions, I am sure we all still want the forum to thrive.

Im not saying dont have the threads, just keep them in a separate place for people that want to debate in them, and keeping the Rail to actual poker chat.

I’ve just spoken to Ling who was disappointed to say the least with the actions of the mods/blonde on this one and their subsequent failure to reply to a (polite) email.

She was sat opposite Tikay all day long and he said not a word on the matter. She also spoke to Tighty via msn twice and nothing was mentioned. (People skills/common courtesy much?)

I’m concerned that incorrect information is being used to bolster the mods case and stated as truths when there in fact completely false. I changed my password on two occasions to satisfy their demands.” There are probably many people who forget to log out.

The mods have said the GUKPT thing wasn’t a factor on this thread – Ling has a statement from Ironside in a text to say that it WAS. She has also offered to forward this text to anyone who claims otherwise!

1 I was speaking to Ling about the Sky Poker Tour yesterday, as our paths cross on that for each event. I don't mix subject matters. I wasn't speaking to her about blonde stuff, especially as no conclusions about this particular issue had been made at the time

I have logged into the public computers at DTD the last two visits i have made and as i have entered the page i have been logged in as someone else (i.e the person previously sat at the PC) - just something for regular DTD visitors to be aware of.

Being the honest bloke i am, i immediately logged out and re-logged in as myself, rather than give my rubbish PHA under someone else's name.
