OK...so had a funny few days...

Good News - New job in February!!!, My Sister is doing really well and despite two more ops, her leg is a cm longer!
Bad News - Arrrghhness!
Bad bad News - Just nasty stuff.

So, to deal with the rollercoaster of my life I did what every sensible person does...

Spend money I don't have!

Actually I do have it, just shouldn't use it..but, I could get run over by a double decker tomorrow couldn't I?

Sooo ....This week's purchases:

Wireless network .... check
G3 card              .... check
2 Wireless LAN USB's ..Check
vodafone sim      .... check
Compaq Presario Laptop.. CHECK<g>
Geeky laptop bag ... check

Currently playing with two monitors - v strange, but quite fun, and also laid in bed last night checking email because I could, and made coffee whilst playing a STT, and it was a strange feeling wandering around the house with a lappy whist I knew I was online!

Will this improve my playing? Nope, but I will be a lot comfier when I lose now!!

Did it make me feel better? Nope, I just cared less about the crap stuff :-D

Also it will keep me occupied during xmas, which was going to be a bit of a nasty one for me.

So, here's to having fun, looking after number one, and throwing caution to the wind!

Surprising many of us will spend Crimble alone Heid, but better to be alone & happy, then with someone & unhappy. You can watch whatever channel you want on TV, play Poker whenever you want, surf blonde now & then, & leave the toilet door open. Heaven.

You have a strange taste in food Tony..Why would anyone want to turn //warm choccy Fudge cake into a date ..But if that is what you want here we go..

Pureed Dates Recipe
Recipe Ingredients

1 cup dried dates
6 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla



Recipe Preparation
Puree dates, water and vanilla in blender or food processor. Makes
about 3/4 cup.

Bit of a WHOOSH fior Dingdell there methinks.

Foxy - COURSE I can cook, you'd be well surprised. I can even cook gravy.

Decided to make a small concession to Christmas tonight, & popped into Tescos & got a turkey thing & some spuds. The turkey is "ready basted" as opposed, I guess, to ready not basted, whatever basted means.

If nothing else, the cats adore turkey, so we are all set now. And the cat-sitter has bought 2 little christmas stockings, one for Charlie, one for Angell. Ahhhh....

Im sure i would be suprised tikay but even still you can cook more than i can lol

Depending on who you believe between 5 and 36% of turkeys are infected with salmonella. Make sure you cook it properly Tikay, wouldn't want the cats feeling unwell  :pop: ;merry christmas;

The cats said "how very kind of that nice man". But I think they can cope with salmonella & those sorta things, summat to do with their immune system.

Angell - the young, pure white one - has brought me a Christmas present every night for the last week or so - a dead mouse each night. Dunno where he is finding them, but they are big buggers, & he leaves them around the house in different hiding places as a surprise. He left one in a shoe yesterday, don't even THINK about how I found it.

I don't buy ANY Crimble presents for anyone, but the Cat-Sitter has bought them a Cat Christmas Stocking each, full of cat-goodies I shouldent wonder, thinks like CatNip. Catnip does THE strangest things to cats, & I don't really approve of it, it's cat dope I think, but once a year is OK I suppose.

But they get spoilt 24/7 when I am at home. Charlie has Fresh Cream every time I go to the fridge, they both have chicken breasts twice a week, Angell drinks a whole carton of Cat Milk every day, and they have salmon when I remember to buy it.

Yeah, normally mine won't play with cat toys only balls of rolled up tinfoil - unless....... sends mine doo-lally every time i treat them to a catnip toy,

Tabby - lovely! Tabby's are really weird things, affection or aggression, love or hate, want a fuss or don't want touching, all depending on the time of day & their mood. The cat equivelant of women I think.
