1 Deepstacks and Headhunters
 
Play any of the following tournaments in September to win points for the League

2030 €20+2 Headhunter

2030 €10+1 with 3 €10 rebuys
 
2100 €25+€2.50 €2,500 gtd
 
2 Micro MTTS

Scoring
 
For each individual event.Only your top five scores during the month count and events to be played must be posted on this thread before you play, and results posted by you afterwards to claim points. Players can play in both Leagues, but are only eligible to win one for added value purposes.

Winner = 25 points

Top three = 15 points

Final table = 12 points

11th -20th = 9 points

21st - 30th = 8 points

31st - 40th =  7 points

41st- 50th = 6 points

51st- 60th = 5 points

61st- 70th = 4 points

71st - 80th = 3 points

81st -90th = 2 points

91st - 100th = 1 point

Midweek bonus.

The highest recorded finisher on any Tuesday AND Wednesday in September  will receive a five point bonus in addition to finishing position points

The winner of the "Deepstacks and HeadHunters League" wins a seat to the DTD Monthly Deepstack worth £336
 
The winner of the "Micro MTTs" league wins a seat to the £150+18 event on the Sunday of the DTD Deepstack weekend
 
2nd and 3rd in each league will have 10% of the action of the winner in each event

Possible replacement would be the €10 with 3 rebuys at 2030.

You get 3 rebuys + a double add on so potentially €61 entry.

Possible a bit high compared to the others?

There's a €10 HH turbo at 2100 which got 87 last night.

Might be a bit more suitable for the bankroll's of the players the league is looking to attract.

You'd have to change the league name to 'Head Hunters, [ ] deepstacks and another random tournament' but I suppose that's ok.

No, you can have a DTD account signed up in whichever way to play the leagues

If you would like your play to benefit blonde, then you need to PM me your username and account number so I can get you reallocated.

This will depend on who you signed up with in the first place as to whether you want to do that or not.

We'd obviously welcome it, or a large cheque. Either would do!

As per the orig post. However to start us off we'll take any over 50 runner mtt between 6.30pm and midnight. Under 1o euro buy ins score for the micro league. Over 10 for the main league

Apparently tonight at 6.30 there is a 5 + 0.5 euro with 1 euro rebuys and 5k added according to the website, but i cant seem to find it.

I want to play in this but can't get the cashier on the DTD client to work, I have never actually cashed into it and when I click cashier I get a white box entitled web dollar which does nothing. I have tried reinstalling etc, anybody got any idea? I have tried mailing DTD support already.

DTD are supporting these leagues with £500 a month in added value, which I chose to split between the winners two leagues, a 300 Deepstack seat in one, a 200 seat in the other. They did this each month in 2010 also until June, when I left it for the Summer months..and many of the regular players in these Leagues have played big live comps at DTD this year thanks to the DTD added value.

DTD have indicated they'll repeat the £500 in October, which is great and I know will be appreciated

However there are only 12-15 players supporting the league, and at tops this figure was 25 early in the year. I'm grateful to everyone who does, of course.

I think the prize of a live seat at DTD is financially not viable to a lot of players who would have to pay hotel/travel cost etc if they dont live in the area.

Maybe a seat into an online game would attract more players?

I recall many moons ago when I was new to blonde they were running a promotion for Mansion. I cant remember the details but I won a seat into the Sunday night $200 buyin. I was a $2/5 sit and go player so this was a HUGE deal for me. I went on to cash the min for $500 :-) Maybe some new/low stake players might be encouraged to play the league if they can still sit behind a keyboard in their PJs ;-)

Can a Blonde league be done like there used to be on Ipoke,pretty sure they'd get more runners.Tbh I cba to sit and play a couple of mtt's after grinding all day but would be in for a league game just for the banter and the fact they only take a few hours.Just my two penneth.

It can, but they were tried too...mucho admin hassle for 15 runners....the consensus was to try network wide games and give maximum flexibility.

No reason why it can't go back to "closed" MTTs but would need to be far more runners to be worth the time to set them up

Wasn't there like 30-40 runners in them when there was added valuoooo or am i just talking rubbish,highly possible.Then some Blonde cash hopefully would run afterwards.I know these have been tried before so maybe it wouldn't work but I think this would give a better return to DTD,imo.

I'd really like to help in some way, Rich, to support DTD, you, & the Site.

I'm a bit stuck for ideas, though.

I'm wondering if some extra cash would help? - I'd be prepared to help in some imaginative ways it it would make a difference.

For example, I have a (very!) little % of James Keys in the big September Events, half of which I've promised to the players next door to beef up a private players League, & I'd happily donate the other half to this League. That 1% has yielded a small return already, (I've written off the original investment - standard accounting practice ftw) but it could come to  few bob if he binks in the WSOP-E &/or EPT.

It may be something it may be nothing, but it would HAVE to be dependent upon a minimum of x players taking part in the League.

Are there any other ways you can suggest I could assist? We need to do better than we have thus far, we just do, or DTD will give up on us.

If you played in the leagues and played an hour or 2 cash if you could I'm sure that would encourage a few more to play,maybe put a small bounty on your head in a league game ?

If I thought that would help, I would, diary permitting, but I'm far from convinced it would, tbh.

Blonde only mtt. Once/twice a week. Best result for the week counts. One of you plays one night, one the other night. Structured to last 2/3 hours. Cash after if you want. Bounties on both heads of free entry in to next weeks game. League format with dtd deepstack seat or 2 x Sunday €150 seats to the winner.

Advertise it on DTD as well then maybe some people will even sign up to blonde just to play this.

There isn't anything different left to do Tikay. It's just an online poker comp of which there are literally thousands every week. Adding a few quid doesn't help enough. The comps are still only small and there's loads of bigger ones on stars / tilt. You need to add the fun factor and that's where you / Flushy could come in.

I remain doubtful that my presence would change much, but Flushy is a different kettle of fish altogether, he would deffo make a difference, & I know he likes to try & support our Sponsors, without whom the Site would not exist.

If Flushy and/or/preferably both tikay can commit to 1-2 nights a week for a month I'll happily go back to a Private League format, with some added value, bounties and cash tables after.

Forgive me for being niave, but aren't dtd adding the value to get more players on their site? and if so, if the blondes just play the 1 or 2 private league games a week then theres not much in it for them? Sorry if im wrong...

You are not wrong, but getting players onto the site has to start somewhere....the assumption being they'll play more than just these, you'd hope.

I think Matt's right in there's only so much that can be done.

My suggestion would be a private league with Tikay and/or Flushy playing in them.The winner of the league gets the full package of both 300 + 150  and to have bounties placed on a different Blondes head every game and if you bust that person you get 5% of the person who wins the league.

I played some of these, but I have not played any of the new variant simply because I don't fancy them. I just play an hour or two most nights and mainly stt. For the old monthly league games I happily played if I was free. If you go back to that type of format then I will probably be there, (i was never bothered that much about the additional value for being top of the league). I think there was always a problem of what night was best. My view on that was if I know well enough in advance then I can plan around it for most of the time.

If you want to attract more people then perhaps something along the vein of the Hendon mobs current league set up may be useful, (I don't know the numbers that play). You would need to run something over a longer period than one month, (why not 3/6 month period?), with a slightly sexier incentive than an entry to the DTD deepstack, (no offense meant as I have been there and it is a good tourney but it is a regular event now).

 

From a personal point of view i didnt know about these leagues until a couple of weeks ago - so maybe a bit more spamming of threads should take place.
I was however intending to take part next month.
I have to say though that i used to prefer the Blonde league games that took place due to the great banter.
 My idea, based around what others have proposed would be:

Blonde only mtt's - maybe 3 a week (all the league games used to take part on a weds which i normally cant play - 3 nights would give people plenty of opportunities to play)
This would mean 12ish tournies a month - best 3 or 4 scores count, so people would still have a reason to play even if they were away for a couple of weeks.
$10 + $1 entry fee - that way 12 tourneys with 30 players would generate $360 in rake, plus any additional tourneys that people played.
Points awarded for finishing positions, plus additional bonus points for bounties for 'special guest' players.
Winner gets entry to £300 DTD tourney + expenses (no excuses for anyone then) with 2nd, 3rd and 4th each getting a small % of the player.

I understand it is a lot of setting up - but with the amount of people on Blonde it really shouldnt be an issue getting 30 or 40 to take part in these on a regular basis.

Agree with this suggestion for prizes. I enjoy current format as I live close to DtD , if I didn't I guess I wouldn't play the online MTTs as much.

Yeah, back able to play again and off work until 7th October weeee and all that.

The league format is a difficult one. I quite like this as it offers flexibility for those of us who might not be able to play a certain night. An online buy-in might be a better prize (from the point of view of making money), but I live miles from anywhere so an excuse to get somewhere like DTD is quite nice.

How about something like stick with the current format but put a Blonde only tournament in there (once a week) with extra points for knocking out Tikay/Flushy if they are able to commit to it. You could also have bonus points for winning the Blonde only tournament. Not sure how you make that work for two leagues though. Have one tournament with a €10 buyin and you can pick what league you want your points to go into? Or is that too complicated? I seem to have confused myself.

Anyway back to trying to do something about h in this micro league will edit post later when I figure out what Iam playing.

Tighty, I have a question.

Can the winner of the mircro league choose to take the value of the league £150+£18 and add on another £150+£18 themselves and play in the Deepstack? The give 5% to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the league. Obviously this would need to be done with the agreement of the 2nd and 3rd place finishers but would Blonde allow it?

Don't see why not, would just need to sort out the admin

That is an incredible score.  Will take some beating.

I'm really happy with it obviously, but h is only 2 points behind before his scores from tonight even go on, and we got 4 bonus nights left. This Tuesday and Wednesday and next Tuesday and Wednesday. Technolog and LB can improve their scores more easily than me and h, who can only improve now by making top threes. No idea if you intend to play but if so there is plenty of time for you to be up there too. So all to play for still.
