Title: Re: Nottingham police advice Post by: Boba Fett on August 25, 2010, 01:36:14 AM If you admitted it and sent in payment for the fine why did they send you a court date? Or did they set a court date after a deadline for receiving your DL and payment passed?
Title: Re: Nottingham police advice Post by: henrik777 on August 25, 2010, 10:16:15 AM Have you checked with your card to see if they have taken payment ? Did you get proof of posting ?
Next time use special delivery with such documents (license passport etc) Sandy Title: Re: Nottingham police advice Post by: LeedsRhodesy on August 25, 2010, 10:20:02 AM Sounds like my DL has been lost in the post so I have to write a letter now saying that I have sent to off and send in all my prof that I have been away and did not know about the case but the lady said I might get over turned and I will go back to a £60 fine
Title: Re: Nottingham police advice Post by: kinboshi on August 25, 2010, 11:07:33 AM Have you cancelled your card and contacted the DVLA about your licence? I'd do that as a priority (as well as getting the hotel receipts and stuff together if the police ask for them).

They cashed his cheque for £60 but lost his licence. And they actually don't give a hoot when you complain to them.
