Title: That's a nice flop to go with my hand - UBOC $300 KO Post by: NigDawG on August 27, 2010, 07:58:23 AM Hero has been fairly active early with very few showdowns but even those that have been shown are good/solid hands.
the tournament is on ultimate bet where i play very very rarely and am unaware of any screennames altho it's a $320 entry comp so villain could be a high stakes reg....likewise it's part of the uboc series (ub equivalent of ftops) so could just be a random satty qualifier/taking shot. it's only level 3 blinds 20/40, but table is playing fairly tight generally, i havent noticed too much specific about villain in this hand so far except he has chipped up to same as me (4k from 3k starting) and opens for minimum as standard. villain opens to 80 from mid, hero peels Js Ts on hijack and both blinds call too. 4 handed to the flop of Ks Jd 9s blinds check and villain bets 200 into a pot of 320 hero proceeds how and why? Title: Re: That's a nice flop to go with my hand - UBOC $300 KO Post by: DMorgan on August 27, 2010, 09:37:43 AM I call because all of the hands that have good equity against us (sets, top 2) probably 3bet the flop pretty much forcing you to get it in with ~40% equity.
Another advantage to calling is that if he checks the turn to us we can probably take it away because on such a wet board I can't see him checking a decent made hand on the turn even on a complete brick Obv thats kinda over-simplifying it and assuming that this pot is gunna be heads up but with another 2 players to act behind I don't think that just flatting here is ever gunna be bad. lets get to the turn, you DEFINITELY called.
