Not sure he calls 2 streets with a flopped str 8 He has a missed flush here alot, if that contains a 5 just ul Title: Re: fold Post by: Laxie on September 05, 2010, 11:51:04 AM I'm probably cringe calling the eejit's river bet hoping it was a missed flush draw...only to be shown 98 soooooted.
Title: Re: fold Post by: buzzharvey22 on September 05, 2010, 12:16:05 PM I call
Title: Re: fold Post by: Longy on September 05, 2010, 01:16:05 PM I am calling, shouldn't be many 5x in his range if any. More likely to be 98 but also could be missed spades, 2pr etc imo. We are getting 2 to 1 so pretty easy call given all that.
I would iso a bit more pre, i would make it 280 personally. Title: Re: fold Post by: psustudent on September 05, 2010, 03:31:11 PM yea I like a pre iso to a bit more too. like 260-300. This will also eliminate some 98 type of hands from their range unless vill is just horrible. As played you kinda have to call but I expect them to have a 5 lot of the time.
Thing is you are showing no signs of stopping and so much strength that his shove looks like its for value. You are expected to call given your line and he wants you to call. Just seems you will be shown a 5 alot of the time here, hands like 55, 56s, 45s, 35s, 57s etc. Hence a bigger raise pre could elim. some of these hands unless villain is just terrible which they kinda have shown they are. Either way, you do have to call river regardless, cus otherwise youre play will be somewhat exploitable. People will chase spades/backdoorclubs vs you and shove river everytime if youre folding river with a set and thats not profitable obv. But yea call it off but expect to be shown 5x quite often here. Title: Re: fold Post by: Laxie on September 05, 2010, 03:38:16 PM Out of curiosity. A lot of people mentioning a possible 5x hand. WTF is that type of hand calling the flop bet for?! By the turn, sure...but just don't see how any hand with 5x is even in on the turn.

I think it is pretty safe to assume villain isn't very good with his line, limp/calling pre etc. Title: Re: fold Post by: Laxie on September 05, 2010, 04:06:46 PM Out of curiosity. That's a whole lot of rubbish hands calling pre...never mind their horrible flop call on top of it all. Glad I took a break from playing! I don't recommend playing any of those hands that way, in fact i would not limp pre with any hand. Just saying villain isn't very good therefore his range could well include that garbage.
