Post by: DaveShoelace on September 26, 2010, 10:11:16 PM I think there are plenty of times you are good here, but you really need to let us know any reads you have and also is this the FT or are there more tables to go? It says table 4 but is that just a number or an amount of tables remaining?
Oh and I probably shove anyways Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: DaveShoelace on September 26, 2010, 10:13:55 PM Oh and what stake is this?
Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: sovietsong on September 26, 2010, 10:14:54 PM Oh and what stake is this? sorry for rubbish PHA intro, will do a proper OP when i finish session Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: Longy on September 26, 2010, 10:41:03 PM Oh and what stake is this? Pretty sure it is $11, final 2 tables. Top 6 pay. Edit- Oh hang we are on the button? High five the dealer before shipping it in. Pretty sure I am never passing 1010 on the button in an unopened pot with 13bbs. Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? or raise call here with TT Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: DaveShoelace on September 28, 2010, 02:01:43 PM do we prefer open jam (with 12bbs no antes) or raise call here with TT Personally I prefer open jamming, as strong as TT is its vulnerable to most broadway hands and its a awkward hand to see a flop with, on the rare occasion we see a flop in this sort of spot. If I had some reads on the blinds, ie. they were very aggressive/loose & capable of restealing, I dont mind bet-calling, opening to 750 so it looks like Im leaving myself 10bb if I fold. Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: EvilPie on September 28, 2010, 02:16:00 PM Got to be an open jam for me. TT shouldn't be at the bottom of your range so you could feasibly get called by worse.
Limp/call or raise/call are only options if you sometimes limp/fold or raise/fold and there's someone there who may have noticed. Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: outragous76 on September 28, 2010, 02:16:51 PM i prefer open jam nowadays - so many Ax hands snap from bb
Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: Longy on September 28, 2010, 03:27:07 PM Depends who the blinds are.
The more comptent they are, I prefer raise/calling but I am not one of the regs who constantly jams 15bbs without antes so this doesn't look out of line for me. Against total donkeys shoving is fine but I raise/call more than shove deffo. As we open the blinds ranges up by making a normal raise compared to shoving, we do have position post flop which does help even this shallow. Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? But I think that's dependant on my image as a loose reg. Title: Re: 45man SNG - are we ever good here? Post by: sovietsong on September 29, 2010, 09:14:06 AM Thank you for the feedback. My reason behind folding is no shoves from villain upto this point and with two shorties on the bubble I felt passing was the right option... http://www.pokerhand.org/?5716707 here we go again! Sorry ss/greeky.
For some reason I thought there were antes and we were on a 90-man bubble :) Yuck. With UTG having no chips we probably need some sick range like QQ+/AKs. I still find it hard to fold AQ in these kinda spots against a cut-off shove though, as we have their range crushed usually. I think I play them a bit differently to maybe James or Longy,I fold worse than 88 in ep in mid pos I'll inc 77 and late pos inc 55-66,I basically hate limping.Although in these games you don't really need to worry about range merging I just think it's so obvious to other regs what you have by limp/calling,limp/folding with these hands. Title: Re: 45man SNG - a selection of hands sovietsong fked up Post by: Longy on October 17, 2010, 01:28:36 PM I limp small pairs in EP as long as I have more than 50bbs which on tilt is pretty much the 15/30 level only.
