Title: Ugly river spot

Live 6 handed 1/2 game gala leeds. most hands restraddled to £8
Hero playing £750. Been playing tight aggressive with the occasional move.
Villain playing £500 approx. Tight aggressive as well. 3 bets light and have had many dealings with this player. already cold 4 bet him with  4c 8c an orbit previous
Villain restraddled to £8 so in hijack seat, cut off limps, i limp behind with  5s 6s. blinds and straddle complete so 6 in with £48 in pre.

Flop comes down  9d 8c 7h. Villain bets £24 i flat.
Turn comes down  Qd Villain checks i bet £36 he flats
River comes down  3c Villain checks i bet £66 he raises to £186. Line?????

i hope your tanking whether to shove not fold? Shoving is probably bad too though.

what hands is he repping on this river though. surely the 3 is a complete blank so it hasn't improved his hand. two pair combos raise the turn to try and get me to pay if i have a ten?

sizing's a bit off, should be much bigger on the turn. as played can he make dumb hero's?

Not really sure why you wouldnt raise this flop. Cold 4betting him with 84 but not raising for value with flopped straight doesn't feel amazing. As played call obv.

raise flop since you have an aggressive dynamic, turn bet sizing is poor i think around £70 is decent. I think its really close between jamming and calling river given dynamic, he can be c/r worse for value i think as your hand is under-repped.

Really Really depends who the villain is in this game.

Mind you if you say he's been 3betting light that limits it to 4 players and I shove vs 3 and snap the other

There are defo players I fold vs though from that game
