Title: EPT Vienna thread
Post by: TightEnd on October 26, 2010, 12:24:33 PM
I am sure we have some of our high rollers going across?

Anyone playing?

as the EPT site says:

EPT VIENNA

It’s been six years since the EPT went to Vienna and many will think a return visit is long overdue. Now the EPT is returning in spectacular style, with a five-day €5,300 event in October, PokerStars is guaranteeing a €500,000 first prize for the tournament which is taking place in the stunning 19th-century, Renaissance-style Kursalon palace in Vienna’s beautiful City Park from October 26-31, 2010.

Located on the banks of the famous Danube river in Austria, Vienna is often described as the cultural capital of Europe and was home to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Johann Strauss. Now the city will be home to hundreds of poker players including Team PokerStars Pros Sandra Naujoks and Sebastian Ruthenberg, as well as Austrian-born team member Johannes Steindl and Team PokerStars SportStar Boris Becker.

The EPT’s last event in Vienna was in Season 1 and was the biggest EPT of that season, attracting a total of 297 players to the Austrian capital. The event was won by French pro Pascal Perrault.

With 80 left Negraneau is chip leader http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/ept/2010/ept-first-as-negreanu-leads-in-vienna-075033.html

I read on his twitter feed that he got two red Aces three times in one orbit and bust KK,KK,JJ with them to double three times on the spin. Helps, that does.

Here are the chip counts. http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/tournaments/ept/season-7/vienna/chipcount.html

I hope Negreanu wins this one, he is fucking annoying when he is doing TV appearances, interviews, blogs, posting on forums, playing online, tweeting, talking in general, has a smackable face etc but he is often really entertaining to watch in tournies, would be quite cool if he won the triple crown and retained the number one spot in the all time money list.
