Title: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's. Post by: buzzharvey22 on November 08, 2010, 05:42:40 AM Hi all,
My name is Neil Harvey and I am 20 years old from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. I have been playing poker full time for around 18 months now. I started mainly just playing live cash games but the games dryed up round here and i moved to online poker. I never really had a set game, i played a bit of everything, but mostly a cross between MTT's and cash games. I had a few nice scores at the end of '09 and beginning of '10 which made me believe i was the dogs bollocks. I felt i didnt need to improve/grind more. I soon realised this wasnt the case a few months ago, and started to play only online MTT's with the odd live MTT in there. However, i dont think i am sufficiently rolled anymore to play these as the downswings are pretty hard. (I am not actually broke right now but could be if i have a few more bad months) I am currently looking for a full time backer to play MTT's on both poker stars and full tilt (and any other to be honest) within the region of $10-$50. I would like an agreement to continue for a long period of time i.e 6 months plus. The deal will be full backing, on something around a 50/50 or 40/60 split,(this is up to the backer obviously) of course on make up. I am able to play a good volume of MTT's, and will be looking to play in the region of 100+ per week, playing atleast 5 nights out of the 7. A possible schedual would look something similair to this, as i would usually start regging around 5pm U.K time and reg for atleast 4 hours. Pokerstars 5pm 22$ 20k GTD 6pm 22$ 12.5k GTD 6.30 22$ 10k GTD 6-max 7pm 11$ 40k GTD 8pm 55$ 90k GTD 8.30pm 11$ 20k GTD 9pm 11$r 70k GTD 9.45pm 5$ 2r/1a 25k GTD FTP 5pm 26$ 19.5k GTD 5.15pm 3$r 14.5k GTD 6pm 11$ 14k GTD 7pm 26$ 42k GTD 8pm 26$ 33k GTD 8.30pm 55$ 25k GTD 8.30pm 11$ 10k GTD 9.15pm 26$ 18k GTD That schedual has total buyin's of around $400 (rebuy's dependant.) However, that is 16 chances of winning between $3k and $10k. My OPR stats are as follows for: Pokerstars http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/neilharvey22/poker/results/6D7A5515020B47E7BE1D3EA2499085DB.html?t=2 Full Tilt http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/fulltiltpoker/buzzharvey22/poker/results/35657825659544BFA357C02634F00812.html?t=2 http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/fulltiltpoker/buzzz20/poker/results/41322BE98D9B49BD8E9A33ADED420CDA.html?t=2 (you will notice i have played on 2 accounts on full tilt, my original account with my debit card and everything set up to is the buzzharvey22 account, however, when i was a noob and signed up i didnt know what rakeback was. I created the buzzz20 account mainly to play cash games on, as missing out on rakeback on this would be rediculous. However, i now only play on the buzzharvey22 account as i think it is now linked up, but having spent thousands of points on hoodies etc i have to wait to find out.) I am in decent profits over the sites without actualy having grinded that many tournies out. I believe i can maintain a good ROI with added volume. FWIW here is my live record. Havn't played a huge amount of live MTT's either, maybe played the DTD deepstack 7 or 8 times. Played 3 GUKPT side events, and played 1 Coral British Masters £500 main event. http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=139374 Please ask any questions on this thread or by PM, or add me on msn neil_harvey22@hotmail.co.uk Or if anyone could point me in the direction of some help, this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your time. Title: Re: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's. Post by: TheChipPrince on November 08, 2010, 09:39:02 AM Hi buzz, perhaps include some more info on:
1. How much staking your looking for? 2. Whats the stake back deal? etc. Maximum daily etc, maybe even include a proposed daily schedule? Are you going to be playing the 45/90 STT's or just MTT's? Proposal started fine, then faded out. Title: Re: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's. Post by: paulhouk03 on November 08, 2010, 10:13:03 AM R u willing to grind 3$ 90 man turbos on tilt?
also saying you have 2 accounts isnt a good idea Title: Re: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's. Title: Re: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's. Post by: pleno1 on November 08, 2010, 02:56:52 PM Can vouch for Buzz. He is a really really good player, in Newcastle and the North East he is described by many as "the best young player around". I don't have to talk about what he's won as its in OP but since playing against him around 18 months ago he has improved 10 fold, probably because he's best mates with so many good players which is a good thing. He is very honest, so although he hasn't got 1000's of posts on here his rep really doesn't need questioning. From what I've seen, Buzz plays alot tighter that alot of the younger players (myself included) that just want to 3bet and open every hand, I guess that's a good thing for backers who are abit scared of variance.
I would 100% take a piece if it was over like 500 games or something, but obviously you can't sell %s to people if you constantly need reloading. I have played a fair few of the 45 mans on tilt with very decent profit, but i think the games have got harder since i last grinded them. I would not mind grinding these alongside the MTT's if the backer asked, as i understand they "should" be able to help cut down a bit of varience. FWIW i have no experience of playing the 90 mans so dont think this would be possible yet as i think they play a bit differently. Title: Re: Looking for a full time backer, small-mid MTT's.
