I had Australian No 10 Wagyu at CraftSteak @ MGM $450 for dinner and I was in there 40 Minutes.

My preferred cut of beef is either Brisket or Oxtail. If I have to have a Steak I'd go for Rib Eye from the Chuck end.

M

The best chefs in the world will tell you that sirloin and ribeye are far tastier fillet, so its not really my opinion. All your getting with fillet is a much higher guarantee of tenderness even if you have a mediocre butcher. Get a good butcher and sirloin and ribeye will be far tastier, nearly as tender and cheaper than fillet..............

Has the animal got anything to do with the quality?

I buy my Beef from here, it is amazing www.blackbrooklonghorns.co.uk

Have used Freedown Food Company a couple of times in the past and would recommend - they offer Wagyu Steaks, also check the Chef's Selection Tab.

In vegas are u expected to tip10 %?

I kinda hate ppl that ask for tip or treat u worse if u don't tip. In thailand this happened alot

Service charge annoys me also.

Average tip in the US is about 18%.

Waitresses/barstaff etc rely a lot more on tips than in the UK as they are paid poorly, but tipping is so much part of US culture that virtually everyone tips.

Edit: Sigh at Kin and Cos.

No way would a man who signs off all of his posts with 'regards' tip such a ridic amount.

Isn't 18 the same as 20ish?

If it's $425 you just make it 20ish to the nearest 50 or 100 in this case 500.

Tip is $75 or 17.647%

I called you a nit originally with DP but the comment about never tipping more than 20% was squarley aimed at the guy who loves two things inside him, our friend DP Dan

He could just have an extra bread roll thus bringing the tip portion of his bill down enough to keep it within reasonable limits.

In the above example if we assume that a bread roll costs $2

Total bill is now $427 and 20ish is still $500

Tip is now $73 or 17.096%

I suppose you could call it maximising your tip equity.
