This Thanks, Why? Title: Re: car choice Post by: EvilPie on November 17, 2010, 01:12:20 PM Don't think you can really go wrong with either.
Personally I take the beemer but that's just me. Nothing against the Audi at all, I just like beemers. They're pretty much the same so just get whichever one you think looks nicest. Title: Re: car choice Post by: Longines on November 17, 2010, 01:26:43 PM BMW has 184bhp, Audi has 141.
Game over. Title: Re: car choice Post by: ACE2M on November 17, 2010, 01:30:37 PM I think its the beemer then, anyone else care to big up the audi?
What colour? Ordering it in the next half hour. Title: Re: car choice Post by: EvilPie on November 17, 2010, 01:31:36 PM BMW has 184bhp, Audi has 141. Game over. Meh. Barely noticable. If you like to put your foot flat on the floor every now and then and go as fast as possible fair enough. If you drive normally the extra 40bhp means nothing. Title: Re: car choice Post by: Girgy85 on November 17, 2010, 01:32:27 PM I think its the beemer then, anyone else care to big up the audi? What colour? Ordering it in the next half hour. Gotta get it in White Imo! Blatent im getting a BMW in the neat half hour brag imo! Title: Re: car choice Post by: EvilPie on November 17, 2010, 01:32:37 PM I think its the beemer then, anyone else care to big up the audi? What colour? Ordering it in the next half hour. Audi's front wheel drive so should be easier to drive in the snow. Audi's front wheel drive so should be easier to drive in the snow. Is it? There is so little between these cars, I'd go for the one with most extras etc. Both nice enough cars Title: Re: car choice Post by: ACE2M on November 17, 2010, 01:44:32 PM I think its the beemer then, anyone else care to big up the audi? What colour? Ordering it in the next half hour. Audi's front wheel drive so should be easier to drive in the snow. That is a slight concern but i've done ok in my current bmw. Don't those extra BHP make a difference on the motorway which i'm driving on 4/5 times a week? Title: Re: car choice Post by: BulldozerD on November 17, 2010, 01:46:02 PM not alot in it but i generally prefer Audi, like has been said just go for the extras
Title: Re: car choice Post by: ACE2M on November 17, 2010, 01:47:33 PM i was going to get this before the Mrs starting banging on about some practicality rubbish.
Audi TT 2.0 TDI Quattro Coupe Title: Re: car choice Post by: EvilPie on November 17, 2010, 01:52:24 PM i was going to get this before the Mrs starting banging on about some practicality rubbish. Audi TT 2.0 TDI Quattro Coupe Gay. Title: Re: car choice Post by: Bongo on November 17, 2010, 01:55:27 PM I'd go with the BMW as I dislike FWD cars.
Title: Re: car choice Post by: StuartHopkin on November 17, 2010, 01:56:40 PM TT's are for women only surely
Doubt the bhp would be noticable I had BMW, now an Audi, prefer the Audi, but not enough to rule out BMW's when i change it next year. BMW will probably come with more toys as standard BMW is a ***** to drive up a snowy hill! This Thanks, Why? Meh, no technical reasonings or anything, just i like the look better, however the bmw is also a nice car so. Also either in white Title: Re: car choice Post by: EvilPie on November 17, 2010, 02:00:00 PM BMW is better on fuel consumption if that's a consideration?

Title: Re: car choice Post by: Longines on November 17, 2010, 02:03:22 PM BMW is also lower emmisions if FYP Title: Re: car choice Post by: kinboshi on November 17, 2010, 02:45:00 PM The beemer looks like a better car overall - are they about the same price?
They both seem to come with a lot as standard (a surprise with the Audi), but check the options for things like cruise control (and extra on the beemer) and sat nav (an extra on the Audi). Title: Re: car choice Post by: ACE2M on November 17, 2010, 03:04:09 PM gone with the beemer in metallic blue. I live in cheshire so driving up hills in the snow is not often a consideration.

Also, check for signs of major impact damage, clocking, or VIN tampering.
