Title: Final table bubble bvb Post by: EvilPie on November 21, 2010, 03:01:10 PM Just wanted a few thoughts on this hand that occurred at DTD in the £50 1 dayer.
Final table bubble so we're 5 handed and I'm in the BB Me 420k SB 309k Blinds 8000/16000 + 1500. Average is 300k so it's a crapshoot Money's pretty shitty until top 3. Folds to SB who makes it 44k I've got Aspades Js My options as I see them: 1 - Shove 2 - Raise to 110k and snap a shove 3 - Raise to 110k and fold to shove 4 - Call and do something funky with position 5 - Fold and go home. I've not been at the table long but have a little bit of history with oppo. A short while ago he made the same raise from the button and I 3 bet to 110k from the BB to which he folded. At the time we were 7 handed and he had more chips than me which made it a bit different. I've seen him play before and know that he's a decent aggro player. Knows what he's doing. I've made a few more moves around the bubble but only shown down decent hands which have bumped my stack up from 280k to 420k since I've been here. Thoughts? Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: sovietsong on November 21, 2010, 03:16:36 PM i like shove for two reasons
1) we have best hand 2) it stops him taking the piss Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: paulhouk03 on November 21, 2010, 04:00:23 PM is he pretty active raising?
also how has he acted to 3bets? or been 3betted much? I would jam it in his eye or raise call i think were ahead of his range most of the time dont mind stop and going him either basicly anything but fold Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: MC on November 21, 2010, 04:01:54 PM Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: McSnort on November 21, 2010, 04:49:11 PM is 3 bet to 100k/fold really an option?
id just jam Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: GreekStein on November 21, 2010, 04:52:06 PM lol @ 3b/fold.
obv level there Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: EvilPie on November 21, 2010, 06:14:17 PM 3b fold was only an option because of the previous hand we'd played where I 3 bet and he folded.
Is he going to be raising me light knowing that I'm capable of a 3 bet at this stage? I didn't even consider this at the time by the way. I pretty much insta shoved. It was only afterwards that I thought there may be a preferrable line to take. Obviously being results oriented because I lost but just wanted to check to make myself feel better. I just think that maybe preserving a 300k stack going in to the final of a comp where nobody knows anything about calling ranges could've been an option. We have AJs blind on blind on the bubble, there is no alternative available dude Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: EvilPie on November 21, 2010, 06:34:53 PM I just think that maybe preserving a 300k stack going in to the final of a comp where nobody knows anything about calling ranges could've been an option. Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: Rupert on November 22, 2010, 12:57:49 AM prob not, lean back, take a sip of water etc. hes more likely to call worse tho
Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: pleno1 on November 22, 2010, 02:56:36 AM 103 and call.
Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: DMorgan on November 25, 2010, 02:30:28 PM 3bet/calling is bad because if he's decent he's never gunna 4bet jam worse because you're obv never folding. You need to be at least 30bbs deep to even think about 3bet/folding imo
Shoving gives him the opportunity to make a bad call which I think he's much more likely to do than make a bad 4bet jam when you're <20bbs deep Title: Re: Final table bubble bvb Post by: Skgv on November 25, 2010, 04:20:53 PM Just wanted a few thoughts on this hand that occurred at DTD in the £50 1 dayer.
