Just had a phonecall from an Asian guy saying he worked for MS Windows. He was saying he was monitoring my computer and said it was being attacked and my hard drive was being eaten up. He told me to open explorer and enter in the address bar www.amyy.com or something like that. I did it but didn't press enter to view the webpage then confronted him saying i had norton and i didn't trust what he was saying. I then said id contact my own PC advice if i had any problems, he hung up!!

Any advice was he scamming trying to access my files etc ???

listened to a recent case of this on R5L yesterday. They Want you to sign up to fake antivirus software that then allows them to access your passwords/online banking etc

the person who fell for it had to change all his cards, online details etc

i dont even pick the home phone up these days

ppl who wanna contact mewill use my mobile

There is a scam just now whereby a postcard drops thru your letterbox informing you of a missed delivery....phone. a number to rearrange delivery....boom...insta 300 onto your phonebill.

These scams are,getting better n better....

I did that once. I was bored and got a phone call from someone trying to sell me a mobile phone. It took him about 30 minutes until he realised I had absolutely no intention of purchasing what he was trying to sell me. He was not amused :D

Just had a call, picked up said "Hello" phone went dead!!! Seems to happen frequently, surely they cannot bill you for even answering the bloody thing?

My mum got this call aswell, she was a bit quick and told them WTF are you on about Windows team, we have a Mac (which she doesn't) Guys hung up pretty quick...

A few months back a broadband user list was leaked on the net (including full personal contact details, so every monkey with a PC can get a list of broadband users in the UK to harrass) think it was just Sky broadband users....can probably expect more bs like this....useless fkrs that run these services...

This was only a list of people that some law company was suing for torrenting copyright stuff. Mostly gay porn I believe. They may have got Girgy's details off that?
