Title: Hard spot against fish Post by: pleno1 on December 30, 2010, 12:12:41 AM Big fish, was c/raising 18% of the time, 3betting over 35% of the time and favourite thing to do was pot. He would always bet 3 pre, 6 into 6 OTF, 18 into 18 OTT, pot river. If we call here it is with the presumption he is always betting $30+ OTT.

Tank call turn if u hit and use all ur timebank on river when he ships, call last second and he reloads/tilts 2buyins off to you

Personally I pretty much agree with todds post all round: call the c/r, bink or fold the turn. Btw, loving the amount of HU threads on the forum recently, keep 'em coming cos it's fun to see how people play HU. Doubt my life is real, im complete now +1 to the heads up hands Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: pleno1 on December 30, 2010, 12:30:36 AM I thought Toddy was advocating calling flop, calling $30 on turn and then f/c.
Yeah I wasthinking I might be bugging the PHA forum abit too much but meh. Gonna hopefully play hundreds of thousands of hands next year and hopefully on December 30th next year I'm posting 1KNLHU difficult pre flop spot. Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: toddswain on December 30, 2010, 12:34:04 AM Nah, just call flop, and fold turn if u miss/ call turn if u hit, let him spazz river
Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: pleno1 on December 30, 2010, 12:39:26 AM Nah, just call flop, and fold turn if u miss/ call turn if u hit, let him spazz river Ya that makes sense. I shoulda known you said one thing and meant another, sorry buddy. Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: redarmi on December 30, 2010, 12:43:22 AM Deffo not bugging pha imo. Your posts are amongst the most interesting. I would check behind on flop and look to call turn but as played I call here and prob fold turn if I miss.
Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: Whollyflush on December 30, 2010, 01:36:27 AM I don't like peeling against this sort of opponent, since we can assume hes going to go pot the streets and we only win when we hit. Given the board texure we can't give him credit for many 2pair combo's (even against a fish doubt he has all 83/63 combo's) so i'd 3bet stack off on this flop. He could be c/r an 8x type hand which will give him a hard time if he just peels the 3bet and overs drop. Deeper i'd advocate a peel or if we had better equity like (AK/AQss) wherby we can just call down regardless and not worry about his barrel happy approach whilst keeping in dominated draws.
Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: pleno1 on December 30, 2010, 01:41:47 AM Interesting.

Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: DMorgan on December 30, 2010, 12:02:54 PM I'm in the 3bet/call it off on the flop camp aswell.
I think the most interesting part is the preflop open though. Against a 35% 3bettor I snap muck this pre. Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: pleno1 on December 30, 2010, 01:23:31 PM yeah that was a 35% 3bet with a quite tight opening range from me too. After hand i thought fold pre.
for those people who do a call on the flop, what do you do on 2h turn when he pots it? Title: Re: Hard spot against fish Post by: SuuPRlim on December 30, 2010, 07:02:51 PM yeah that was a 35% 3bet with a quite tight opening range from me too. After hand i thought fold pre. for those people who do a call on the flop, what do you do on 2h turn when he pots it? you have to fold here. thats why we gambooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool BLACK CARD!
