Definitely a decent turn/river combo to barrel, don't think that I'd overbet though seems a bit unnecessary

Thought process in play was that his range was 6x, but mostly 8x, with someeeeetimes, 9x which was a draw that rivered a pair. I thought because I am generally pretty aggro and the king is a good barrelling card that I would get called v.often if I bet 2/3.

Id never bet 1.3x pot with a one pair hand tho?

If ur range here is 2p hands + or bluffs this is a very easy call for an 8 imo

Yeah, wish I hadn't used the ord polarised, as its given off a different thought process than what I was actually thinking. Just think I can get a whole load to fold for 1.3x pot that would snap off 2/3 pot.

You probably shouldn't have a range for bet bet overbetting and a range for bet bet betting. You're basically splitting your range and it's very easy for an observant opponent to play against. This spot should occur fairly often in a hunl game so it's not all that hard to observe.

I am a bumhunter, I have 4 sites open with tonnes of tables and I get tonnes of action so stupid to play people who are even close to breakeven when so many fish are sitting so I don't think that bad players would observe this too much.

I think in a spot where villain's range is pretty much entirely bluff catchers, you want to be widen ur range to as many value hands as possible, 9x's/Kx's good 8s etc.

So it answer to the OP i think its a bad spot to polarise, its a good spot to have as wider value range as possible

Yeah fair enough, I mean it's fine to do this if you think it will work against this particular opponent for whatever reason. I just don't like showing this down if I'm playing a tough player regardless of if I have nuts/air. I guess -8bb/100 wouldn't be classed as tough.
