I am calling the range that is beating you is so small, pretty much 1010 one combo of 88 (does he even raise this pre!) and occasionally 44.

He can deffo have jj+ and maybe AK/AQ spades though I expect him to want to get them in on the flop.

We have the ace of spades in our hand which makes a huge difference and a lot closer,but I think it's still a call due to the amount that is already in the middle

I'm not really seeing why this is tricky tbh other than you're questioning yourself having lost the pot. if we're beat then we're beat. if we win here I doubt we give it a second though

I called, expecting to see JJ/QQ but infact he had 89dd
