Title: 100NLHU Deep facing 3 barrels in 3bet pot.
Post by: pleno1 on January 21, 2011, 02:36:53 AM
Villain is a big winner on PTR, I'm only playing him because I've been sitting for ages without anyone sitting and thought meh why not. He 3bets 32% of the time over 50 hands. I have an aggro image and I've C/R the last 3 times I was in the SB. Thoughts on everything inc river? Hand ranges, what I should do etc etc

i'd c/r flop with your image and call river.  We are probably losing a little bit to his value range, he can have worse kings and a turned J sometimes altho fairly thin and once you c/c the flop it looks like you have an 8 or 99 or something - I think he expects you to 3b TT and JJ pre so it's a decent turn and river for him to barrel w his bluffs.

we're in position mate, I was just giving reference to the c/r because I thought it could potentially add a dynamic.

If you had j10/k10 and someone shoved this river (96$ more) do you call and why?

Also answers to original questions please everyone.

Thankyou,
A smiling P.

Ah can still raise the flop I think, puts him in tough spot with worse kings (of which he has a lot) flush draws (he has a few) rando 8s QQ etc if he decided to cbet them as well as us not repping a whole ton since he expects us to call IP with FD

yh agreed, plus I think he expects you have a much worse hand a lot of the tme and i rele hate folding in these situations

hero opened. villain 3bet. So our 3b option has been taken away in this instance. Would we be 4betting TT and JJ here?

Calling is fine, but clicking it back is fine too. I havn't seen him 4bet light yet, so perhaps calling pre and calling, calling caliing is better.

clicking it back isn't very good 50 hands into a match 200bb deep. As played i'd call and make a note, its an important showdown early doors although its possible he has backdoored a stronger hand.

I like the line, no point 4balling pre with only 50hands of info, pretty much what Whollyflush said, as played pay river off. Only being 50 hands in i prefer not to c/r flop without any real info on player.

Oh didnt see I'd doubled him up already :P

I cawled the river but at the time didnt feel very good about it. Didn't think he was value betting worse and expected him to think the board hit me pretty strong.
