Title: PLO Does he always have it?
Post by: boldie on January 23, 2011, 05:14:18 PM
3 handed on a $2-4 cash table.

Played this hand a bit earlier, taking a shot after a little win at 1-2, thought I did the right thing but not sure now.

Can't remember exact figures bit this is about right.

All players have a full stack of 100bbs effective.

you are dealt  Ac Kc 7s 9s on the button and raise to 12 (standard raise)

SB folds. BB calls. BB is a solid reg, who plays 2-4 at the lower end of his games. He also has several 5-10 tables open and is winning on most.

Flop comes  8c 2s Tc

BB checks, you lead out for approx $20 of the pot (standard continuation size for you) BB calls.

Turn 2c

BB checks, you lead out for $50. BB check raises full pot to approx $200

You? Does he always have a full house here?

Check-back turn, fold now.

Agree with the first bit. I pretty much always check back the turn here.

I don't think this is as easy / straightforward a fold as you think Flops.

Definitely check back turn.

It's pot limit and he's gifted you a chance to limit the size of the pot.

As played I'm never folding if I've got a nut flush and I'm taking a shot.

Thinking about it, its a fold.if he's a reg I doubt he's gonna bluff here. He could have something like a flush, with a deuce in his hand though unlikely.

Seems weird but key thing is 100% check back turn.

Thanks guys, thought I did OK at first but then started to think about it and knew I had spunked off by betting the turn.

fwiw I think there are tons of times when betting the turn is 100% the right play (with no info in a game with no history chking back is prolly best)

but no reg ever chk raises anyone who isnt a reg at the stakes also on this turn without a boat

unless he is mad tilted/cos ;)
