Title: The Keys to Sponsorship.
Post by: tikay on January 23, 2011, 06:34:53 PM

UK Poker PRO James Keys signs with RedKings!

RedKings newest pro is down under playing the Aussie Millions and expectations are as usual high on the Poker Icon from the UK.

Poker Icons are proud to announce that James Keys is joining Ramzi Jelassi and Toni Ojala at Team RedKings. RedKings strengthens their presence on the live tournament scene with the addition of James Keys.

In the last few years James has proved that he is a tournament player to be aware of. He has cashed on three different continents in the three main events of the poker world - WSOP $10k, Aussie Millions A$10k and WSOPE £10k.

James’ career got off on a strong start when through a $75 feeder satellite qualified to WSOPE and eventually finishing 9th in the Main Event for over $120k. He has also had success in Europe and the UK with a 2nd place in the Baltic festival in Estonia and a win in the DTD monthly deepstack in 2009.

“I’m very excited to be signing with RedKings, the site has always been a favorite of mine and hopefully I can be a good representative of RedKings, I also very grateful to Poker Icons for getting me this opportunity” - says James Keys.

James is at the moment in Australia playing the main event of Aussie Millions, and with the new sponsor his schedule for 2011 is packed with events, including among others GSOP Live series, WSOP and EPT events.

''We are delighted to welcome James to Team RedKings. It’s great to have one of the UK’s most exciting new and upcoming poker pros be part of the Team especially now as we host our very first major live tournament in the exciting city of Bucharest on February 2nd ”- Says Michael Golembo, CEO of RedKings.

He might actually quite like RedKings, my understanding is their sponsorship model is a bit like PKRs/Sky Poker in that they tend to recruit loyal players from within.

Red Kings are a skin on OnGame. I think James got chatting to them when he played GSOP Live in Malta in November.

Their Google-optimisation is probably more based around their blog here: http://blogs.redkings.com/ (http://blogs.redkings.com/) (apologies to tighty if this is spam, feel free to delete)

TY dreenie, homer and everyone else for their congratulations.
