The Centre International Deauville where they're holding the tournament is a very good venue. Only annoying thing is the ridiculous restaurant prices.

Anyway, Dana and I will be punning our way through Day 1b today at Pokernews.

The hand played itself.

Busted end of level 3. Fired tripple barrel bluff 100bigs deep in 3bet pot with AK on a 954 J 7 board into JJ. Was hoping to fold out TT pair+draw type hand that picked up equity on the turn :(

The turnout at EPT Deauville was a healthy 891 players, well up on the 768 who took part last year. They generated a prize pool of €4,276,800 and of that, €880,000 will be thrown at our first-place finisher.

A total of 128 players will be in the money, with the lowest payout being €7,500.
