Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: kinboshi on February 03, 2011, 05:41:13 PM You've controlled the pot as well as you could playing OOP. Can't think of many different ways of playing it.
Does the villain know you're a donk? you're hand has strength, and is perfect for bluff catcher as both draws missed. chk calling allows you to not put urself in a horrible spot if he reraises you, and it allows airballs to pay you off another streets value. If he is bluff raising the turn, then why wud u lead the river with the intention of folding, as he maybe bluff raising again or even overvaluing a hand you beat (unlikely yes, but possible). Folding turn isn't horrid either fwiw (perhaps a little results orientated, but wud he really raise a draw on the turn?) Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: NigDawG on February 04, 2011, 08:28:02 PM i preferr to c/r and if he 3bets then i know i am in trouble dislike this thought process would most likely check call flop, could c/r for value vs some but wouldn't be c/r to "find out where i am" Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: Ironside on February 04, 2011, 11:17:19 PM i preferr to c/r and if he 3bets then i know i am in trouble dislike this thought process would most likely check call flop, could c/r for value vs some but wouldn't be c/r to "find out where i am" i would be checking raising for value but if he 3bets i think its a hand i can fold Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: Ironside on February 04, 2011, 11:18:18 PM oh i dont like checking calling the flop cause i could be calling 3 barrells oop
Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: pokerfan on February 04, 2011, 11:24:15 PM oh i dont like checking calling the flop cause i could be calling 3 barrells oop Folding then pre innit.Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: Ironside on February 04, 2011, 11:29:50 PM nah i dont like being that passive in a pot with top pair i want to get some chips in but i dont want to lose my house
Title: Re: kq in the blind Post by: SuuPRlim on February 04, 2011, 11:48:49 PM one of those spots where your hand kinda lies on the borderline of his value range/bluff and semi-bluff range
you don't wanna inflate the pot vs his value range as most of the time he'll be ahead, and you dont wanna c/r fold vs his semi-bluffs + you want him to keep barreling his bluffs. |
