This horse runs again tonight in the 5.30 at Wolverhampton

Spoke to the owner who helpfully told me that it ran shit last time and he only had £20 E/W on it.

Tonight though he is having a considerable amount more.
Each way again, they expect a much better run.

So there you go.

Shit last time, meant to be better this time. Do as you wish.

Im on for £50 E/W Lets go go go go go

Love a certain Graham Wheldon's comment in the spotlight about this race "The sound of the bottom of the barrel being scraped can be heard as far away as Dudley".

It's pretty desperate fare (in fact, I'd go so far as to say this race is to horse racing what Boshi is to marathon running)

LOLZ, thought they'd have edited that out. Can get away with more when the Spotlight legend that is Adrian Cook is on his hols. Got this image of him taking a Racing Post down to the beach, reading the spotlights and furiously throwing it in the sea.

Ha ha

As you know boldie I know shit all about racing really. All I know is my mate has a lot of contacts, owns 3 horses, and has spent a lot of time following the racing for the last 40 years. More importantly, unlike Blatch his Betfair P&L is actually pretty impressive.

Currently well +EV following the tips he sends me.

Its about time you pulled your finger out  ;) :-* anything for the weekend?

Spotlights like that make them much better IMO.  No point pretending that this sort of race is anything other than scraping the bottom of the barrel and that, essentially, it's a waste of everybody's time.

Not saying the horse won't win mate..in fact, against this lot the trainer having faith means the world as it's running against horses that should go to the glue factory (or end up on my plate).

Can do you one better than the weekend mate..Newbury tomorrow so will have something for that as our bets on Saturday were binned and the same horsies should be running :)

Dunno, the odd interesting one pops up on the AW Boldie.

Two years ago Sir Nod made his comeback off a mark of 71 at Wolverhampton and...WON 14/1

Last year Sir Nod made his comeback off a mark of 71 at Wolverhampton and...WON 5/1

Tonight Sir Nod makes his comeback off a mark of 71 at Wolverhampton...

Don't mind the AW as such, just some of the racing is too poor to be true.

Yeah read your Sir Nod angle this morning but missed the 13-2 with bet365 this morning (as I don't look at the AW until I've had a look at the NH racing and Meydan ) and that pissed me off a bit TBH still 11-2 available but I hate missing that point..will still put a bit on with WH but only a tenner or so.

At The Races. You have to register to watch replays.

In future jockeys won't need to use whips - they'll just threaten the horse with 'the Newbury grass' and the horse will run quicker.

Post by: Horneris on February 18, 2011, 10:04:57 AM
There could be a chance we all over exaggerating a bit. I've just watched the replay a few times on the racing post website and the jockey whipped the horse 12 times (which is a lot) but the jockey of the 2nd horse whipped his horse 17 times during the race.

I think it looks worst on ours because the action appears aggressive, which is surprising given Toby Atkinson was by far the most experienced jockey in the field.

Perhaps its the nature of the beast a bit aswell, a class 6 apprentice handicap, i dont know.

Oh hi der everybody and good morning.

Runs again 6.45 at Wolverhampton, prices just gone up on most sites.

Word is this is the race that they expected him to win when they put him in for the three.
I think they were expecting him to be more than 3/1 though.

Again, its definately trying and the owner thinks it will win.
Obviously though there is a chance it may not.

Leave it with y'all

Im on for a hundo for the win. Might top up later in the day if I get an interesting text ;)

think the 10-3 on this one is cracking value TBH. don't think he'll drift out much..11-4 in most places and 5-2 in one.
Should be good tomorrow, depending on the state of the ground everywhere. All roads to Chelters soon as well.

It's not really been backed after the morning (surprisingly enough as there was some money for it at first). The 2 7 furlong horses (Northern Flyer and Khajaaly) are being backed and so is thundering home (16's into 10s).

Maybe people just figured that it really only scraped home in a desperate race last time out and that he's up against better opposition now but it's a big drift now into 9-2 with Xtrabet and 4-1 in some other places. strange market though, bookies really can't seem to agree on this thing and most other horses in the race

Or maybe owner's money just isn't down yet?

Spoke to the owner last night and apparently it should've won but the inexperienced jockey didn't realise quite how slow the pace was.

Might be bs but sounds feasible enough.

Apparently the horse barely broke a sweat because the pace was so slow.

Take it the owner didn't back it himself? The horse drifted like a barge before the off.

Dont agree with Ralph, and I have no idea why Matt would agree, makes no sense.

Got a superb rub from Colin last night though when he rang me to check whether I had bet the trainers other horses.

Yeah he isnt a tipster, but he does have a lot of contacts and I will happily put money on anything he tells me in the future.

If I post enough of them on here hopefully I can send someone to Blatchville  ;)

Just text Colin and asked if they were expecting much this evening.

One word reply

Yes

Lol

Sigh best get on it!
Petomic out again at 7.40 Wolverhampton tonight!!

Any new Bopkin?

I will find out

Doing his best, could win again if he gets a strong pace
thx

Its in a claimer and Colin wants the horse gone.
Got the feeling that he wasnt overly confident though.
Haley Turner on board again, dont think she did well with it last time.

Clipped in a point on the early birds, Hayley Turner better booking profile wise, first time in claiming company for ages, and owner wants it punted! shame 6 runners screws the EW had a little look, and a forecast with favourite

Hayley Turner bit is probs more down to the fact that her dad drinks in the same pub as me and Colin ;-)

Colin does have two new horses, maybe they will bring some fun and hopefully no one will call for them to be turned into dog food!

I had a look at this one myself, I never checked this thread before updating my own thread.  I was of the opinion that the handicap mark is a bit high, but interesting that you have popped it up and from reading previous posts you seem to know someone connected to the stable.  I have a passionate dislike for Rae Guest though as I believe him to be one of the most crooked people in the game.

Obvs hope you guys do well and it will be interesting to see if this horse moves later in the day.  I backed Ishiamiracle earlier only to see now Hugh Taylor has stuck that up, the price could collapse by a few points giving he has tipped it, I might lay now depending on what happens between now and race time.

it was always going to be difficult for him to win at the weights on handicap debut.

I laid off the win part of my bet on ishiamiracle, so not a lot of damage done in that particular race but really not keen on how the track seems to be running, it seems to me that unless you truly get the distance and want to lead then your vulnerable to a decent closer in the late stages.

I have got involved with Fair Passion in the next, really surprised at the price of that one.  Obvs never wins.

Pretty doubtful.
He has horses trained by the same trainer, and would have had the nod.
I would have thought he would have done a little sigh rather than laugh as he probably had 10 times our entire groups bet on it.
