Title: Di Matteo Sacked
Post by: Pelham Boy on February 06, 2011, 12:43:08 PM
WTF? Crazy.

Very strange one. WBA surely expected at the start of season to be in a similar position to the one they are in and they play some good football.
Defensive injuries have cost them recently but they have Wolves and West Ham next 2 games and could be away from danger.

Allardyce? O'Niell?

Madness, expectations in football are just so out of line with reality.

Allardyce seems the most likely to me, O'Neill will want certain guarentees which I am not sure WBA can match. No doubt we will all be crapping it again in Norfolk about Lambert.

Don't think this will be the job for Lambert, but as most of us seem to be aware, it is coming.  The side is not good enough to go up, but if they don't I do fear he will be off before he finshes building what appears to be a wonderful team that plays brilliant football.

Michael Appleton will get WBA job in my opinion.  Very good friends with the Chairman, almost got it last time around and is said to be well liked within the squad.

Seems a crazy decision all the same.

Goodbye to attractive football then.

WBA is too small for O'Neill, IMO.

Does Hodgson get the sack if they get relegated?

A lot of chairmen, and fans too, need to get a better grasp of reality I think.
