Title: Couple of hands Early on Second Day of UKIPT
Post by: Eso Kral on February 13, 2011, 10:20:52 PM
Its the first 20 mins of day 2 at UKIPT 200 left miles out of the money. Blinds are 1000/2000 200, my SS is 81800  villain has 60000 really looking  for the best long term +ev line.
No real reads so early in day as new table except villain i sat with for last 2 hours of day 1 and he seemed fairly competent nothing out of line but capable plus he never saw me get out of line.
I open utg to 5300 with  Ts Th and c/o flats it folds to BB who makes it 14200
Is this an auto shove and just ul when he has woken with aces?

Obv i lose that and open shove my 10bb's twice the next orbit before doubling through BVB regretably having to show when all in having shoved K8os to sb lead with   Jh Qh and housing up on turn and now im up to 60k but looking fairly agro in image when i find 9c 9d utg+1 i lead for 5400 and sb 3bets to 20k from a 120k stack (he was the f/c in hand 1 and declared JJ in that coup)
Obv this is never a f/c so its shove or fold which is worse??

Thx in advance no need for me to post what happens as BB had aces and im out and back in essex now from the second hand...

Hand 1 is a fold. People dont 3bet light from the bb v often at all, especially not live, not against an UTG raiser and not when they have just sat down for day 2 after a nights sleep

was thinking this. He is peeling a lot of his range- even his stronger hands

If you had kings you would be playing too fast for Pete

If your playing this hand on the internet Dave then its an auto shove?

First one is a fold, second one is closer but I think I lean towards a jam. Really marginal though

Sorry Eso but im not a fan of the image you created for yourself at the start of day 2. Its a long time since i have been on a table with you and really didnt expect you to being this loose.

I was the chip leader on the table and decided to flat u in position with jacks as it was so early in the day. When the bb raises it was so obv he had a big hand. i know you wanted to isolate him but he was never folding and 10s cant be in great shape in that spot.

From that on you were raising or shoving every hand and showing the bluffs.

So when you raise with the 9s and i put in an over raise from the SB with what turns out to be QQ their was no way is was folding to a shove.

I know you said we were a long way from the money 215 started with 128 paid but it took until the 1st break to hit the money and we ran straight through the bubble. So from your 80k starting stack you wouldnt of had to of done much to make the money.
