Title: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. Post by: tikay on February 14, 2011, 01:36:54 PM James Hartigan, whose day job is as a Film Critic, at least until he finds something more fulfilling in life, like tree-surgery, is presumably still frothing at the mouth after last night's BAFTA Awards. Tonight, at 7.30pm, he return to Poker, & his "All Rounders League" tonight at 7.30pm is an £11 PL Omaha Tourney. It's reasonably structured, & plays out quite nicely, with plenty of play in the Fnal. I'm told. 7.30pm, Sky Poker, £11. Can a blonde win tonight's leg? Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. Post by: TightEnd on February 14, 2011, 02:26:31 PM Just so I could see how a proper league is run, I had a took at the t and c's
they are as follows (this is week 2 of 6) Monday 7th February No Limit Hold'em (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds) Monday 14th February Pot Limit Omaha (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds) Monday 21st February No Limit Hold'em Rebuy (2,000 chips / 10 min blinds) Monday 28th February No Limit Hold'em Bounty Hunter Turbo (2,000 chips / 5 min blinds) Monday 7th March No Limit Hold'em Deepstack (5,000 chips / 15 min blinds) Monday 14th March Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo (2,500 chips / 12 min blinds) Each tournament will start at 19:30 and will cost £10+£1 to enter (apart from the Rebuy event in Week 3 which will cost £5+£0.50). MereNovice will be keeping score. Each player will be assessed on his/her three best finishing positions (two from Hold’em; one from Omaha). IMPORTANT: You only need to enter three tournaments to qualify for inclusion in the ARL rankings, but you MUST play at least one of the Omaha events. Otherwise, you won’t be eligible to win one of these fantastic prizes: 1st place = Free seat in a Sky Poker Tour live event 2nd place = Free entry to a Sunday-night Primo tournament 3rd place = Free entry to a Thursday-night Bounty Hunter tournament 4th place = Free entry to a Team Sky Poker Classic tournament 5th place = Free entry to a Take on Tikay tournament Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. For the record, I have little, if any interest in the BAFTAs. Oscars ftw! And, as for finding a fulfilling profession, I've always been intrigued by the role of "Relations Manager." I imagine it's a fascinating, challenging and worthwhile job. If only I knew someone with hands-on experience... Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. He never even mentioned "Made in Dagenham", best film I've seen in years. Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. Actually, my fellow San Fran fan, I gave 'The A-Team' four stars and, in retrospect, I'd probably downgrade that to three. But I still believe it's a "decent" summer blockbuster - and that month wasn't exactly awash with cinematic masterpieces. Also, you'll notice I included 'Kick-Ass' in my Top 10 of 2010, while 'The A-Team' didn't make the list. Mr Kendall - I did give 'Made in Dagenham' a positive review. You must have missed @J_Hartigan's tweet. Perhaps you were asleep that day? Finally, I thought this was a poker forum? Enough of the movies already! ;-) Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. Fair enough A Team was a semi decent film in a quiet month. Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League. Our Omaha Liquidity is, err, "extremely low", but if you ever fancy a fun evening of low stakes Omaha/Hi-Lo Tourneys, (say, £2 up to £11 a pop), or Omaha/Hi-Lo Cash, just say the word, & I'll set up a little "blonde evening of Omaha", open to all. It's a peculiar thing, but the Omaha Tourneys & Cash tables lay mostly empty UNLESS I mention I plan to play a bit, or I even just sit at a Table, then it fills within minutes. Seems to suggest how bad I am, perhaps..... When Horatio had his Omaha Evening on Monday, I think there were about 50 odd runners, which is as good as it gets over there for Omaha really. Still, sometimes small is nice. That's my line, anyway. Title: Re: Horatio Hartigan's All Rounders League.
