I have to share blonde-Sky Poker League duties tonight with my PTP night next door, so if anyone fancies playing a few fun Tournies, here's my schedule tonight;

7pm - tikay Sleepstack, 10 seater, 5k chips, £11. Expect about 40 to 50 runners max, as C-L footie hits it.

7.15pm - £2.20 Deepstack, 5k chips, probably 150+ runners. Good background fun.

8pm - Doublestack Main Event, £22, 4k chips. Maybe 250-300 runners, with a reduced (due to C-L) £4k Guarantee tonight.

8.30pm, £5.50 "Take-on-tikay", 2,500 chips, & this is the Blonde League jobbie tonight.

In - with a flakey hotel connection - but in nonetheless.....

We'll not notice the difference.

I'm back and raring to go.  Rubbish at multi tabling, but still giving it a try with the 7:15 DS and obv the 8:30 ToT.  Been playing poker with the French for the last few days so really looking forward to this!

The 7.15 Deepie is only a £2.20 jobbie, Dawn, but if you play poker for fun, it's terrific value - 2 or 3 hours for just over £2.

 

That's why I signed up to it.  I know I gave a bit of stick the last day (apologies for that btw) but was really only messing.  I like these tourneys because I see them as a challenge.  At the end of the day, the poker world is made of all sorts and if ya can't figure 'em out with a smile on yer face, ya shouldn't be playing.  Plus, after the trip I've just had...I'd still be smiling even if me aces got cracked by a one outer on the river.   ;)

It's much better to be lucky than good. Obv not a mis-click anyway - I am pretty sure J9os is the nuts, you can make a straight or TWO flushes *lol*. You can't do that with just an ace and a queen....... Oh wait a minue......

Unlucky though, nice of the other guy to add some free chips for me though. Good fun this league.

My best result so far.  Finished 31st.


Only thing is, I registered to play, and forgot all about it.  I like this strategy.

I bombed out about 28th in the Take-on-tikay, I think, bugger.

80th of 227 in the Main, 10th of 102 in the little Deepy (£2 profit, wiiiii!), great fun that one, & 2nd in the tikay Sleepstack, after getting owned heads up.

Spent £41, played for nearly 4 hours, profit £30. Eat yer heart out flushy.

No, I think I was busted by a Sky player, "chubbers". Good lad, as it happens. How on earth he made the call against me with Q-Q, I'll never know, my range is crushing him there, & I still had more than 5 bigs.
