Title: Saturday's Football Post by: The Camel on February 18, 2011, 05:30:46 PM Looks a very hard card tomorrow.
I hate FA Cup weekends, ruins the flow of the season. One bet for sure: Huddersfield 2/1+ @ Bournemouth. Other possibilities: Fulham/Bolton Under 1.5 Doncaster Reading Barnsley Norwich Anyone fancy anything? Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Longines on February 18, 2011, 05:50:15 PM Wow, Watford must be really crap. We haven't won in 6, have more draws than anyone else in the Championship and we never beat anyone above us in the table.

Reading (Watford are shocking athe moment Longines - hear what you say but Reading value imo) Colchester Peterboro Wrexham Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: action man on February 18, 2011, 06:02:38 PM max bet swansea 4/6
3pnt win portsmouth 1/1 1/2 point win scunthorpe 7/4 Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Josedinho on February 18, 2011, 06:16:49 PM Wolves on Sunday. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL IN.

Tranmere much improved, wait and see if Dale Jennings plays, he's class and will rip the dodgy Peterbrough defence apart. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: doglayer on February 18, 2011, 06:27:25 PM Manutd at 1.12 on bf just looks too big. There have been times they have been 1/8 at home in the premier league never mind to a non league side. Crawley look a great lay at 33/1.

You wouldn't be very happy having a lump on and then seeing Fergie give 5 youth teamers their debuts. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: doglayer on February 18, 2011, 06:33:00 PM obviously but fergie very rarely disrespects the FA cup. He values it still and remembers it saved his job way back in the day.

He values it still and remembers it saved his job way back in the day. But he'll be pragmatic. Doubt more than 3 or 4 of his first team will play. Rooney, Nani etc wil probsl be on the bench. I'd rather take 1.1 and know I've heard of everyone playing than 1.12 and be shocked to see 3 or 4 unknowns in the team. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Acidmouse on February 18, 2011, 06:44:44 PM Norwich Anyone fancy anything? We have lost once in 18 league games and that was away at Cardiff. Last few games we managed to tighten it up, so Norwich bound to win. Plenty of goals in this. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: The Camel on February 18, 2011, 06:47:16 PM Norwich Anyone fancy anything? We have lost once in 18 league games and that was away at Cardiff. Leeds are much more likely to win, but Norwich are a genuine top 2 threat, fantastic on the road and shouldn't be any bigger than 2/1. But Norwich are not good away from home at the big clubs. Not 100% sure but I don't think they have won away this season to any top half team. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: doglayer on February 18, 2011, 07:04:09 PM Its fa cup days that usually give the best value in the short ones. All the hype and nonsense about it being a leveller. Stats prove over 15 years (Pullien as usual - i think in his book) that there are no more or fewer shocks than there should be statistically yet teams like ManUtd get pushed out to prices they would be to beat teams 2 or 3 leagues higher than the ones they are actually playing.

Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Horneris on February 18, 2011, 07:19:57 PM lol disagree Acidmouse. Think both managers will want to keep it super tight tomorrow. Think we could be in for a 0-0 at Elland Road for the first time in years.
No bets for me tomorrow, can't be bothered, going to the footy and there is no big value imo. If i was bothering Hull @ 14/5, Boro @ 14/5 and Huddersfield @ 2/1 are all ok but not good enough. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Acidmouse on February 18, 2011, 07:22:17 PM As long as Bristol win tonight :)

Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Matt50 on February 18, 2011, 08:57:56 PM I will be at Old Trafford supporting my home town team of Crawley!
Just for interest have laid Utd at 1.1 and also backed 1-1 as a correct score. Looking forward to a great day out, fingers crossed the game is not over by half time. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Nico29 on February 19, 2011, 02:46:49 AM I like the unders in the palace game. They don't seem to do goals much either way at home. As for sheff utd, steadiyng the ship seems the status quo right now and i'm pretty sure they'd bite yr hands off for a draw.
I've done under 2.25 goals @1.96 and have permed no goalscorer, 1-0 and 2-0 as i have a preference for palace in the game....roll on 1-1! Another bet i'm pretty keen on is in the man united game under 3.5 goals@evens. Way i see it is plucky crawley will hang on till near half time before united score, another midway in the second half should seal it and then it will be pipe and slippers time. Like the extra goal cushion this bet gives me too even though i'm half tempted by under 2.5 this will be fine. Not much else took my eye, was tempted by ipswich at odds against at home to hull, but no bullard due to loan deal tilted it towards no involvement. Might perm some high score results in the posh game. Good luck all! Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: redarmi on February 19, 2011, 04:13:45 AM Think over 2.5 goals at 11/10 or bigger in the Boro game is a gift. Been to the Boro's last two games and since Matthew Bates got injured and Wheater was sold they literally have no defence. Seb Hines in particular is totally lost and his tendency to dive in and not hold his position creates a lot of space behind him that has potentially cost the team 3 of the 5 goals that the team has conceded in 140 or so minutes since Bates went off injured against Palace. On the plus side however the team is starting to come together going forward since Mowbray has come in. Against Swansea last week the game could seiously have ended 7-7 and I think there is the potential for the team to, temporarily at least, become a mini Posh. 20-1 over 5.5 goals on Betfair seems very fair to me and 14.5 any unquoted on BF seems decent too.
In other games I agree that 1.11 Man Utd seems a gift and, in response to Keiths points, I would say that that is the price based on them playing a couple of reserves/youth players. If it was at Crawley then they would potentially have an outside (12-13%) chance of getting something out of the game but not here. Incidentally my algorithms make MU to win 3-0 decent value at the 7.2 on Betfair so the 13/2 with Freds/Bluesq really is a decent bet. Should be about a true 11/2 shot and does seem like a decent point for MU to take their foot off the gas a bit. Doubt Fergie etc will want to embarass Crawley. Arsenal are a best 3/10 away at Orient and this is effectively (after taking into consideration home advantage) the same price as Man Utd are. Orient have been scoring a couple of goals recently and if ever a team is going to struggle to get up for a game it is Arsenal here and whilst they should be able to win I wouldn't be surprised to see Orient go in front and possibly even go a few goals up. Maybe a dabble on Orient/Arsenal HT-FT at 28/1 and maybe over 3.5 goals at 6/5 or so. Don't dislike 10-1+ On Orient either. Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: boldie on February 19, 2011, 09:07:47 AM Assuming Stoke will ring in the changes today I'l have some of Brighton's 11-2 but only for a tenner or so

Title: Re: Saturday's Football Post by: Acidmouse on February 19, 2011, 06:37:37 PM its something really long. I checked because the last 14 Leeds ones have been and Man Utd's was 26 if i recall.
