Title: might be a silly question but................
Post by: Ironside on February 20, 2011, 05:27:15 AM
why does the dealer get postion is a self deal game when they are possibly in best position to cheat, given them position seems to be putting the cream on the cake

obviously you shouldnt be playing if you think someone might be cheating but look at the latest scandal  involving sorel and flushy and george ratner

No idea how Chinese is played but in holdem a dealer who can deal from bottom without being spotted can give himself aces and has position during betting

Many moons ago I played a few times in a self deal trny in Reading.  The person to the left of the dealer shuffled, the person to the right cut and the dealer just dealt.

I've played in a tourney like this, lasted 20 mintues and 2 hands later, then I told them to gtfo and I did it all.

If I'm dealing I prefer to do the whole thing and keep the game moving as quickly as is possible - IF the table isn't happy with that AND I can be arsed to humour them, I will offer the Button the option to cut.
