Title: *Theory Post* Full Ring
Post by: pleno1 on February 22, 2011, 12:13:47 PM
In a 9 handed game, from the blinds we should 3bet a single utg/utg+1 raise without anyone calling inbetween 0% of the time.

Please discuss.

depends on opponent, if they're going to fold too much then clearly not having a 3 bet range is a mistake, if they're always stacking QQ and AK then not 3 betting AA is a mistake especially if they never adjust to the fact our 3 bet range is only aces

yh there 4betting ranges are worth considering.

If they are opening enough, not folding to many 3bets and 4betting AA/KK only we can 3bet fold for fun vs them

this is the key. also stack depth is super important, like 200bb+ you can probably 3b 20-30% of hands profitably if they are are like most players postflop (ie fold too much or call too much).

Yeah I prob shouldn't start coaching micros :P

I told one person 100bb deep (full ring nitty rush) against tight opener utg to not 3bet anything. Enables us to peel some 67/78/56/22-88 kind of hands which play well vs his range.

Balance doesn't matter when your opponents are 12 tabling hud bots that never adjust.  There are spots where if my opponents knew my game as well as I knew my game, they would know that i'm 100% bluffing or 100% value vs them in certain situations.  E.g. 12/9 F3b 32 opens UTG 6 handed... My 3 bet range is probably KK+ no bluffs
