Title: 6 month car Post by: rossfourfive on February 28, 2011, 06:47:19 PM I'm looking to get hold of a car for 6 months. Would the best option be to contract hire? What options are available for 6 month contract hire and 6 mth insurance?

Your payments pay off this loan + interest and cover the depreciation of the car. The more the car depreciates by the more you have to pay. Get a brand new car for 6 months and you get shafted. They'll probably buy it back for about 12k. You're going to struggle to beat £500/month. Best bet without doubt though is to buy off autotrader then sell in 6 months. You'll probably only lose a couple of grand on a decent 20k motor. Don't you know someone who could deal with all the buying and selling for you if you bung them a few hundred?
