Title: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: DMorgan on March 05, 2011, 01:52:00 AM Live 5/10 at DTD
Reads: Hero has been playing pretty solid, no real hands of note Villain 1 is a fish, previously stacked Aspades Ts calling off after two all ins on 8c Tc 3s vs one very tight player that flatted a flop lead and jammed over another players raise. He always has a set here, he had 33 Villain 2 is young, fairly aggro but hasn't done anything much of note and Hero has only played with him once before Hero (UTG+1) £3.1k Villain 1 (BTN) £900 Villain 2 (CO) £3.4k Hero opens with ??? to £35, 3 callers including both villains Flop (£140) 6h 7h Jc Hero checks, Villain 2 bets £125, Villain 1 calls, Hero raises to £375, 2 calls Turn (£1265) 9d Hero bets £850, Villain 2 is all in for £2990, Villain 1 calls all in for £490, Hero calls all in for £2140 with ??? As for calling, probs sets, nfd, big combos Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: SuuPRlim on March 05, 2011, 12:31:52 PM It's 2140 to win 5595 so we need to be 27% to call. Ok, ranges for other 2 might be wrongish (second one is the fish) Im lying down whilst doing this lol This is im sure the "top of our range" equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 40.405% 39.27% 01.14% 19965661769 579423428.83 { JJ, 77-66, AhKh, AhJh, KcQc, KhQh, Jh9h, T8s } Hand 1: 33.177% 30.63% 02.55% 15572902199 1297111688.33 { J8s+, AJo, KJo, QJo, J9o+ } Hand 2: 26.418% 23.61% 02.80% 12007778438 1425242106.83 { 77-66, AhJh, Ah9h, J9s, Th9h, Th8h, J9o } Put some Jx's gutshots and OP's in.... equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 47.583% 45.82% 01.76% 67207731260 2585401961.33 { JJ+, 77-66, AhKh, AJs, KcQc, KhQh, KJs, QhJh, JTs, Jh9h, J8s, T8s+, AJo } Hand 1: 26.463% 23.80% 02.66% 34906538774 3907844974.83 { J8s+, AJo, KJo, QJo, J9o+ } Hand 2: 25.954% 24.12% 01.83% 35378156270 2690487775.83 { 77-66, AhJh, Ah9h, J9s, Th9h, Th8h, J9o } Now to open it up to include more naked Jx's and NFDs (this range includes some hand I don't think you would raise the flop with so deep) equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 40.165% 37.30% 02.86% 94927441110 7289086743.67 { JJ+, 77-66, AhKh, AhQh, AJs, AhTh, KcQc, KhQh, KJs, KhTh, QJs, QhTh, JTs, Jh9h, J8s, T8s+, AJo, KJo, QJo, J8o+ } Hand 1: 29.595% 26.02% 03.57% 66227182052 9090667641.17 { J8s+, AJo, KJo, QJo, J9o+ } Hand 2: 30.240% 28.34% 01.90% 72119632722 4838806617.17 { 77-66, AhJh, Ah9h, J9s, Th9h, Th8h, J9o } seems to me thanks to the fish in the hand we can be going with majority of the value range we raise the flop with and expect to be in decent-good shape again apologies for mistakes its hard to do lying down :) Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: outragous76 on March 05, 2011, 01:14:57 PM I think you can ignore the short stack in the hand. The only consideration you need to give is his card removal affect on your hand
Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: SuuPRlim on March 05, 2011, 01:19:52 PM mmmm idk I think the fish might scoop his side of the pot every so often, his range is almost entirely Jx's imo and the other two ranges will jave more draws so he could win sometimes
Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: smashedagain on March 05, 2011, 01:41:54 PM Hero calls all in for £2140 with ........
fingers crossed. gl at footy today dan Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: TheFallen on March 05, 2011, 02:57:42 PM big draws and 77,JJ,99
i recon the toughest decision is 66 or AJhh. Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: redarmi on March 05, 2011, 03:47:37 PM AJhh/J9hh/8T/89hh/45hh definitely. Probably any two heart combo with an 8 or 10 in it. I think sets are the difficult decisions here. Think top set is a crying call and probably so is a set of nines because that is pretty underepped. Other sets I fold and hate my life if I was in front. My guess is you have a set (probably jacks).
Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: DMorgan on March 05, 2011, 04:04:44 PM And for the big reveal...
I'm villain 2 in this hand and had 9h Th Vilain 1 has Qh Tc (lol) Hero pretty much snapped it off with Aspades Ac Thoughts on my line with 9h Th? Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: GreekStein on March 05, 2011, 04:31:42 PM did u get there?
Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: redarmi on March 05, 2011, 05:03:24 PM did u get there? Would it have been posted if he did ;-)??? Think you played it fine fwiw. Out of interest do you make the call if the turn had been a blank??? Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: skolsuper on March 05, 2011, 05:19:00 PM 50p please
Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: TheFallen on March 05, 2011, 05:22:53 PM Think the line is cool vs the right person and it's good as it gets him off better draws as well and means your basically never gona be barrelled off the best hand on the river.
I guess the problem is that it kinda looks like what it is (he obv folds on a T turn) but he shuda still mucked it with no redraw for backup. Terrible call and Lol at the flop c/r, had a suspicion that was someone else Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: SuuPRlim on March 06, 2011, 12:52:35 AM big draws and 77,JJ,99 i recon the toughest decision is 66 or AJhh. The only tough desicion you have with 66 is whether you say call, then put your chips in, or put your chips in as you're saying call Title: Re: 5/10 - One of those annoying 'what do you call with?' threads Post by: Whollyflush on March 06, 2011, 01:17:17 PM the 9d isn't a particularly good card for this, ideally a Tx/Qx or one of our outs rolls off. With the guy behind its very possible a ton of our outs are cleaned up with him either having a weaker or a stronger FD. In theory i think the turn may well be a fold, although i suspect in gametime i'd play it the same.
