Title: Weird cash game spot. Post by: redarmi on March 16, 2011, 12:32:30 AM $1-2 cash. I am in the cut off with $269 and have a reputation as a bit of a maniac but probably the most capable player at the table. The Villain is BB and has $209 and is tight and fairly passive but definitely capable, he respects my game a lot and conspiciously avoids playing big pots withe me. The other player involved in the hand is in MP with $34 and seems like an average fish.
MP raises to $8 and I look down at QsQc and after having been fairly active I decide to flat call. It is folded around to the BB who immediately shoves. MP calls his further $26. What range do I have to put the BB on to make this a profitable call? Is TT+/AKo+ enough??? we are working on the assumption that MP is pretty much certain to be dominated by our hand and probably the BB's too. Title: Re: Weird cash game spot. Post by: SuuPRlim on March 16, 2011, 12:43:39 AM i raise here. happily stacking off yup stacky McStack - you hand is delicously under-repped, looks like 77-TT so the other guy might be pretty loathed to fold Kd Jd here + with your rep as a bit of a lunatic. I think when the eff stack is between $400-$500 it becomes a bit arkward Title: Re: Weird cash game spot. Post by: Longines on March 16, 2011, 12:48:47 AM Villan is tight passive but shoves $209 into a $19 pot? Bizarre.
Have to snap unless you have tons of history and a soul read. Title: Re: Weird cash game spot. Post by: redarmi on March 16, 2011, 01:06:28 AM Villan is tight passive but shoves $209 into a $19 pot? Bizarre. Have to snap unless you have tons of history and a soul read. I have played with him at least once a week for about nine months. In that time I don't remember him 3betting once but he is definitely a thinking player and a winner at these games but he definitely knows his limitations and that was what confused me. He is tight enough to have a fairly strong range but also smart enough to try and squeeze me out as I probably have close to 100% of my calling range here (although I am massively underepped). I think its close Don't think I know anyone who doesn't 3bet in 36 sessions |
