Title: Live PLO Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 19, 2011, 02:56:16 PM Live PLO £2/£5 at the vic.
Not sure what my image is, prolly pretty solid agro, I've been making small talk with some of the locals I know and sat chatting to Toby so I reckon im assumed competent/aggressive. Quick important hand vs same villain which is very relevant I think - I 3bet the btn with QQJJdd and he peeled cold from the BB, flop was AT9dd and he chks I bet 2/3 pot (3way) and he calls, we both chk an offsuit 4 turn and then on a 9 river he donks for full pot. I sigh call he tells me I win before flipping over KK. This hand it's straddled to £10 and 2 limpers I squeeze the bttn to £60 with Ahrt Jd Th 8h 3 callers Including villain from the BB I'm Playing £1,400 He covers Flop Jh 9h 5s (£250) Chks to me, I bet £165, he calls everyone else folds. Turn is the 9d (£580) He snap donks £350 Thoughts on how best to proceed from this point? Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: ACE2M on March 19, 2011, 03:39:00 PM puke fold
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: TheFallen on March 19, 2011, 04:23:54 PM cant really see any merit in calling so im either shoving or folding.
given the way he played KK, i think on this board its likely he takes the same postflop line with AA/KK/QQ and even AJ - some sort of stop and go philosophy. I think he folds these to a shove. I can also see him doing this with worse drawing hands and then talking himself into being priced in and calling a shove. worst case is he has a weirdly played 95xx or just a 9 with blockers, but i think it doesnt make up the majority of his range. triple range merging and ship =D. Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: GreekStein on March 19, 2011, 04:24:56 PM Ship it and give him the finger
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 19, 2011, 08:36:38 PM Ship it and give him the finger I do enjoy finger giving. If i had AA and not AJ what do you think? Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: TheFallen on March 19, 2011, 09:51:40 PM Ship it and give him the finger I do enjoy finger giving. If i had AA and not AJ what do you think? Call, call. or min raise :-D Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: DMorgan on March 19, 2011, 10:39:48 PM Jam it in his eye imo
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 20, 2011, 06:38:30 AM Click it back on the turn with AAT8hh might be a ridic sick line prolly isn't but i love the idea
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 20, 2011, 03:27:50 PM I'll tell you what I did.
I decided to call and was gonna call a bunch of rivers, figured he'll still barrel straighting cards and hearts and this way I dont have to stack the lot to boats + could bluff catch with my AJ a bit.... I dont like this call now in heinsight, I wish i'd just taken DM/Greeky/Fallen's advice and stuck it in his eye I think deep down he was trying to push me around abit and doing this with a draw on some sort, he'd have called the turn if I jammed 100% i think and I'd have been in sick shape a ton I think, like you say it's only really 95** that's a boat which i spose is plausible, and if he has a spacky 9*** he most likely had a gutter or open ended with it OTF so most of my straight outs prolly boat him but i'll have 8 hearts. I think calling is worse than folding, but if I have AA** I think I can call call much easier Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: TheFallen on March 20, 2011, 06:28:41 PM what happened on the river, for interests sake?
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: smashedagain on March 20, 2011, 06:47:00 PM i think on the river lildave finds it really uncomfortable to sit down and requires a cushion
Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: smashedagain on March 20, 2011, 08:01:05 PM hey dave was in dtd yesterday helping out 3 local scunny guys with their game. L G was dominating the d/c cash game. 2 of the players came to moan about how sick he was and how he had got so lucky. tried to explain that LG made his own luck and he has been successful for over ten years. they did not really understand so told em the best thing to do was re load and get him next time lol.

Haha go on Lozzzzzza GEEEEEE Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 20, 2011, 08:11:46 PM what happened on the river, for interests sake? River was a 9 and he bet £700 - I folded. I think he's spastic enough to bet all his bluffs again, most of which beat me and I think he'll sigh call KK most of the time. afterwards he gave me a lil speech which I think for sure I was bluffed. I hate my play, wish I'd have had AA then it's a good line Title: Re: Live PLO Hand Post by: Skgv on April 05, 2011, 02:01:16 AM any idea WAT THE player looked likkkkkkke or his name ? then i can tell you what he had !

I think calling is worse than folding, but if I have AA** I think I can call call much easier If the bolded assumption is correct then both shoving or calling are much better options than folding. Equities in PLO are much more linear than in holdem so there will rarely be shoving>folding>calling situations. In this spot I would usually call and fold vs some is fine. I'm not sure why you would jam, I would guess you are in quite bad shape vs his betcall range so he needs to be betfolding a decent amount for jamming to be the best play.
