Last thursday night at CinCins in Glasgow:

Were now 2 hours into the freezeout section of the evenings MTT.

I am the tables tall stack on roughly 20,000+ in Mid position i look down to find AK

being the tall stack, im gonna use it properly and raise it up to 2,500 (Blinds are 300/600)

All fold to small Blind, who thinks for a while then pushes all in for a total of 5500

another 3000 to call, so i do!

I flip my AK

She flips AA!!!!!!!!

Damn?

No wait for it.......



Flop comes .........K K 7 he he he she shakes my hand and just laughs

when have i ever made a post about AK in shallow money

of course you were correct to call here just got unlucky to be against the only hand you didnt have pots odds to call with and then lucky to hit a good flop

but AK doesnt rule its just the 3rd most powerfull hand in holdem

and the sooner people realise this then they too will become great players like me
