April blonde-Sky Poker Competition

- Play a minimum of 25 DYM SNGs or 15 Standard Payout SNGs or both (of any format: 10 seater, 6 seater, Heads Up, Turbo, Speed, Omaha, Hold Em) on Sky Poker throughout April

- Post on this thread with your Sky Poker Alias to participate

- blonde will monitor your results via Sharkscope and produce league tables for players according to average ROI

- Play at any buy in level

- To be eligible for the prize you have to play at least 25 DYMs or 15 traditional format SNGs

- Only blonde members as at 1-4-11 are eligible

- At least ten qualfying players are needed for this promotion to run

- Winners of each will receive £50 into their Sky Poker account. With a Stick or twist option


LEAGUE A: STANDARD.

For results in traditional format SNGs from 2 to 10 players only. Minimum of 15 SNGs to qualify

LEAGUE B: DOUBLE YOUR MONEY

For results in Double Your Money's Only. Minimum of 25 DYM SNGs to qualify

STICK OR TWIST?

In both leagues, once you have hit your requirement (15 Normals or 25 DYMs) you can stick with your figures or twist. To Twist, if you are top performer after you hit the qualifying level and still top performer at the end of the month once you have doubled the number of SNGs played, the Winning prize will be more than doubled, from £50 cash to a £110 SPT seat at a leg of your choice from June onwards.

Anyway, I'll be in on this for league A. Be nice to be >0% for the month, although frankly unlikely.

I'll give this a go April. Didn't do any in March but new stick or twist seems a good idea

If I play tonight to finish off my 25 DYMs for March, as I intend, will they count for March or will they count for April?

I'll be playing in April too btw and I'll try to play more.

Will try to play this as I am having to practice some sit n gos for Newcastle. 15 sit n go's, does sound that hard, will try to do 5 today.

Do they get enough traffic, I am guessing you could do this on the big sites in a day.

Played two heads up this morning with two wins, I expect that to be the end of my run good for the month.

Gonna play cash for a while now but might do some more later when the traffic gets better.

Just DYM's I would imagine.

traffic in the normal SNGs can be light, hence the 15 target, compared to 25 for the DYMs where traffic is steady and v busy at peak times

I wish the normal SNG traffic was heavy, I'd do a different league if it was...but the player base at Sky was brought up on DYMs, mainly

Can you ask why the hell the Russian Roulettes are raked at 10%? Don't exactly tax the servers for very long.

Yes, yes, I could just play 1 hand of blackjack and be >ev, but where's the fun in that?

That's a frequent complaint, SNG rake levels in normals and funky stuff

I don't get any indication its changing though, I am sorry to report

There are a fair amount of heads up running at the £5 and £10 level. Currently doing OK at them, although that will change soon I am sure.

I've just played a few non-DYMs (7-8ish, I think). Cashed in a couple, ROI around -10%.

Played 3 DYMs and 2 regs

Played 5 DYMs, won 4, lost 1...good start :)

Have played 30 normals, not sure whether I was sticking or twisting but either really, don't mind. Suspect it won't matter anyway unless a few people play some games..! If I play enough games for ten people, will that do to make the promotion run..?

Few more scary/bounty/fo/rr tonight. Cashed in a couple, including a nice-for-the-ROI win in a 10 seater FO.

Great run you've had. As you say though, we need more people to play for it to count.

Volume is not so much an issue, Moskvich can play 30 $5 games in two evenings

People need to play, please, or else the Sky Poker added value won't be around for long

Is there any value for Blonde in us playing these as opposed to just playing normal games on Sky. I will try and finish off the 15, sure I will, but would it benefit Blonde if I skipped a few cash sessions to play sit n go's in this league - just interested.

How many games do I need to win to get above ROI 23?

Not happy.

Sky connection is not great at the best of times but tonight is a total melt down. I would rather have given my fiver to a total stranger in the street and at least have seen a smile :(

Were you using the Download, or the browser client, suzanne?

The site was behaving perfectly last night for everyone else, in fact it was the busiest night on cash & Tourneys for over a week, & nobody else reported problems. This morning's IT technical report came in totally greened out, too, with no issues across the entire platform, so I'm a bit puzzled by this.

Please PM me with more details of that happened, & I'll arrange some (without prejudice) compensation or reimbursement for the problem you suffered.

As tikay says. Browser play can be v tricky, for me on a laptop anyway, though fine on a PC and fine for most generally. The download is very stable though. Do you have that yet Suzanne? You'll need Adobe Air to be able to download it

Anyone else get lag problems with the download? I don't have a problem with any other sites these days, but more than 3 tables on Sky starts getting a bit sticky, and more than 4 can become pretty much unplayable.

Tighty, just fyi, have been playing a few SNGs here and there the last couple of weeks.

Same thing happened tonight as well. Thought I would play a quicky before bed and another fiver down the drain. Noticed another player timing out but by the time I typed a message he had gone.

I have now. Managed to download software (i think) ...several attempts to login has me "initialising" but not quite getting there.

I've played a couple more towards the end of the month.

Been a bit short of time this month with holidays and stuff. Hopefully play a bit more next month if it's carrying on.

Less than 10 players for each league, I can't justify asking for any added value unless I could guarantee significantly more runners..we had about 50-60 in month one, at least playing a few
