blonde poker forum

I would like to propose that we induct Cos into the hall of fame. Why?

-He's a regular contributor to blonde. Some would say, staff and shareholders aside- he is BLONDE

-His diary is the best on blonde- FACT (well apart from Tikay's/Red Dog's/Tighty's and Sovsongs and StuHopkin's)

-His degenracy which is legendary

-The fact he has offered at least 18 people HU4rollz

-Finally cos Blonde and the poker world would not be the same without him.

Prefer people to go in for actual achievements. Anything from winning an EPT to non poker achievements is fine.

In general, putting someone in for being a prolific poster and a good guy isn't going to happen too often

OK guys- a thread is not the way to do this nor have my reasons been conclusive enough.

I genuinley think Cos merits this honour but it has to be for something tangible- which with respect- I think is a little short sighted.

So Costas- please do something noteworthy soon pls so I can anonomously submit a detailed and worthy reason (no more than 1000 words)

It's worth reiterating the criteria. Short-sighted or not.

- Major poker achievement
- Major personal achievement, poker or non poker (ie for poker irrespective of the levels a person plays at)

So we've had people in for charity work, EPT, WSOP, GUKPT wins, winning their first MTT, all sorts really but with only a couple of exceptions (RED-DOG is the one I think of) not generally for just being a good community guy around blonde

Any mod would take any nomination via PM, and it would be discussed

OK, so im Cos' mate and this is going to come across a little biased, but please see the content for the facts it contains

Tighty has confirmed that some people get put in there for reasons such as ‘winning their first MTT’ yet Greeky has put more into blonde in this past year than anyone, from both a self enjoyment point of view but also much more than that. Off the top of my head, he has worn blonde patches at many live events including Irish Open on TV, spoken really highly of blonde on that radio show, helped make sure everyone got paid back in the Blatch scandal (lots of input here fwiw - dont underestimate how far he went), grinded a lot on the old blonde card room and drives lots of traffic to the site (just look at the hits his diary gets) amongst lots of other things that skip my memory atm is snubbed for not achieving anything?

look the kid is never going to win owt in poker so it could be a long wait !!!!!!!

This is a much misunderstood thing about the HOF in some quarters

If its a small recreational player, community poster..winning a first MTT is massive. Its all relative

and this makes a much better case than the first post in the thread did!

Cos will never get into the HoF as entry is meant to be a surprise for the recipient. As Cos is an internet policeman it just isn't possible to surprise him...

I certainly think old Cos has contributed more than anyone, overall, in the last year of so for all the reason Guy has said. In that regard I also think Tikay and Tighty are equally deserving of an award.

It does seem a shame you cant single out a particular achievement because it makes it look like a popularity award, but you can call it a lifetimes achievement, he is getting on a bit after all.

It is as much about rewarding small players as it is the big guys, that was the premise under which it was set up. and not necessarily poker achievements either

We have always, it seems, struggled to explain this well enough for people to accept it
