I suspect that it came in a bit as it was at Mussleburgh, a few of my old Army mates were going. Our old regiment (which recruited from Edinburgh and the Lothians) was nicknamed Pontius Pilates bodyguard. Meeting would have been attended by quite a few who had connections to the Regiment.
