Title: QQ on Jhigh wet board. Line check pls
Post by: cambridgealex on April 04, 2011, 06:03:09 PM
No reads. Is this OK? I thought raise/getting it in on the turn when the equity of all his combo draws plumets was better than the flop. Should we be folding the river getting almost 3:1 (he shoves 20eff into 58)? What about his line? He realises no FE on the turn so just flats hopes to bink then shove or fold.

Not a huge fan of the turn raise, I'd probs either 3b the flop or just call the turn rather than do this.

Has been a while since I played HU tho :)

just jam the turn/

yh +1, reps draws a bit better and gives you much more FE when you actually have a draw there and wanna jam

yeah but think about it the other way... our range looks alot stronger and we can get more folds when we are bluffing. Like 10x will probably fold here but when we jam call. I'm not entirely sure what this means.

I think this early into the match its good to just 3b/get it in on the flop, also +1 to shoving the turn. As played call it off

I think its a really interesting spot for the villain on the turn with it being 4hands in or w.e. With him cr'ing flop i think he has to barrel turn, but when you raise it makes all his decisions a bit meh. I dont like any of b/f,b/c and bet/3bshove in this spot, would like to know what others do. Therefore i think c/s on the turn has to be the optimal move ?

I'd shove turn but as played deffo sigh fold river. I doubt he's bluffing enough to call it off

On that board I really can't see it

i like his bet call actually. he has no fold equity and knows it. So he can bet/call with the right price and just shove the river if he hits knowing i'll probs have to call. I gave him the right price and paid for it, I don't think he can call a shove. B/c is better than b/f b/j or any of the check options.

Hmmm its differcult to say, as a default on this board  id prefer to c/c the turn in his spot for a few reasons but thats only against semi competent players.

Early in a match i wouldn't "hero" fold a strong hand like this yet, the information is too invaluable. Your also getting very favourable odds.
