Title: Grand National.
Post by: Biddy 62 on April 05, 2011, 03:49:09 PM
This Saturday, whats folk fancy? My first pick is Arbor supreme, ran 3 rd to Midnight cub(Fav) now 10lb better off at the weights, and double the price of the favourite at 20's. Wonder if Brett would fancy running a Naps for Aintree?

It really isn't a lottery any more (Apart from Mon Maume obv).

Since they made the fences alot easier to jump it has turned into a good class handicap with only those at the top of the weights having a realistic chance of winning.

What do you fancy then Keith? Are you getting stuck into the race?

Waiting to see what happens to the ground.

If there's cut, I really fancy Silver by Nature.

I couldn't put anyone off What A Friend, if he's suited by the occasion, he could run a blinder, best handicapped horse in the race. Rough Quest won this with very similar credentials (and was a bit of a dodgepot too!)

From reading this guess my free fiver(£2.50 e/w) on Treacle @ 100/1 on PP is a total waste?

I didnt know they'd changed the fences; always thought it was a bit of a lottery and hoped for another Mon Mone
