"apparently george has had a major heart attack, so serious i am led to believe, that brain damage has occurred and life support being turned off is imminent. george lived for poker and was always a regular face at all the major festivals, as well as some of the biggest cash games in the northwest. most of us have played with george many times, he is a real gent. our thoughts are with his family at this time, especially his two sons who travelled the circuit with george, and who also love the game we play. we had already discussed the irish open and george was really looking forward to playing this year, he had already bought in to the irish showpiece. not a lot more i can add really just such a shock and very sad indeed."
