Title: Re: Skypoker.com offer GUKPT Satellites Post by: TightEnd on April 19, 2011, 04:03:14 PM £24 semi finals are nightly, 1 in 5 getting into....
The final £110, is on Sunday 23rd at 9.15pm One in every ten runners gets a seat in GUKPT Walsall. ONE seat is guaranteed You can buy into this direct. blonde Poker will be live updating GUKPT Walsall. If you qualify via Sky Poker you are GUARANTEED to feature in a round with Tighty. I might even be as nice to you as I was to Constantly Online Paparestis. On a wider basis, taking off my "who are our sponsors?" hat, pretty good news this for the GUKPT I'd say. An influx of satellite qualifiers not normally playing festival events must be good news for numbers and the attractiveness of the tour to all. The Final is SATURDAY, not Sunday, as otherwise it would clash with our Monthly Viva Las Vegas Final which is this Sunday. (And has a new yawningly slower structure, in response to shouty-wouty feedback). Also, in addition to the Final (£110) & Semi-Finals (£24), there are daily feeders to the Semi-Finals at, I think, £5.20, & these run all evening - but only if & when liquidity is sufficient, & that may take some time to build. I was going to have Tighty shot for those basic errors, but he gets off the hook after his splendid "Hey, there, Mr Thew Sky" Headline today. Almost epic, that. Well get yourself over to the Sky Poker lobby at 9.15pm this evening, and maybe you can. 1 in 10 will be winning their seat in the Walsall Main Event - we have 21 registered at the mo, so 2 seats currently up for grabs. What are you waiting for?

Title: Re: Skypoker.com offer GUKPT Satellites Post by: DMorgan on May 05, 2011, 10:52:30 PM Any idea when GUKPT Luton sats are going to kick off?
Title: Re: Skypoker.com offer GUKPT Satellites Post by: tikay on May 15, 2011, 03:40:12 PM Any idea when GUKPT Luton sats are going to kick off? Sorry Dan, just seen this, apologies for the slow response. The Luton GUKPT satellites on Sky Poker will commence immediately after the Summer Series concludes, which will be on Sunday 10th July, so satellites for the GUKPT "proper" at Luton will start w/c 13th July. As we only recently got the licence from Rank to run GUKPT sats, we've been up against it for qualifying periods, but in 4 days, we managed to get 4 Qualifiers for Walsall. Against their better judgement I then persuaded the Suits to run Summer Series (£500) GUKPT Satellites, & again, in 4 days, we got 4 qualifiers through, 3 for Dundee, & 1 for Brighton. Unfortunately, I felt rather silly when, I think, a mere 26 turned up at Dundee, & including 2 direct buy-ins, 5 of them were from Sky Poker! I believe 1 of them, James Rann, aka runitrann, is chippy going back today, & he assures me he will tid with the mof. Let's hope so. I think we'll probably continue to rum Summer Series satellites, though not 100% sure, the low numbers at Dundee were a blow, but 100% we will be running them once the GUKPT's "proper" get started again for Luton & beyond. Let me know if you have any further questions, & I'll try to be a little more prompt with the reply next time..... Title: Re: Skypoker.com offer GUKPT Satellites Post by: Eirrabs on May 16, 2011, 11:21:08 PM In addition to the 3 of us who qualified from Sky, out of the 27 entries at Dundee, 10 were also local satellite qualifiers, 8 or so from Edinburgh and Aberdeen and a few from down south (Semtex and others) so number of local direct buy-ins was low. Pretty disappointing event.
Good to meet Pete tho. Had a laugh in the £100 bounty game on the Sunday. Hope you made the money Pete(?). |
